I am a Coffecup customer who has previously used SCC with a lot of success. I am in the process of doing a major website update and am looking at using SCC as my store software. My only problem is the payments system. As far as im aware the only payment methods SCC uses at current is PayPal and google checkout. I am a business trader and do have merchant accounts but was looking for a direct credit card payment processor sitting directly on my checkout page. as the checkout page is only editable cosmetically i presume that the only way this may be possible is if i use some sort of add on node... Is there any other proffessional businesses out there with a SCC store currently operating a system like this? If so i would like to see your site. Also information on how this has been done and how it was merged with SCC would be great. Thank you

You have the choice to use Google Checkout, PayPal and Authorize.net These are the only 3 supported merchants. When the Pro version is released, you will be able to use 2CO and WorldPay as well.

Im not too sure about Authorize.net but i do have several paypal & google checkout accounts. What i was mainly asking was if Authorize.net, Worldpay or any other gateways you support will include an immediate credit card payment gateway taking funds immediately on the checkout page rather than redirecting to another site? Thank you

I believe they all redirect.

If they did not redirect, your customers could have security concerns,
redirect and you do not have any credit details so you have bypass the problem of the security of the card details.

Yes, Eno is absolutely correct. The reason it is set up this way is strictly security reasons.

Does anyone have a store currently running authorize.net. I have been looking around and have not had much luck. I just wanted to see, first hand how scc & authorize are integrated together.

There really is no integration. Visitors shop on your site and on checkout the cart passes the customer to the "gateway" provider to transact the payment on their server.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Hi,

Can you tell me how to test my shopping cart so that I can see what is returned when someone buys something. Then I can set up an auto-responder.

Hiya Michael,

You have your payment gateway setup? If so, just purchase something from your shop and see how it all goes, that's the easiest way to test it without losing anything hehe, just paying yourself :)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
