Thanks Eric & Scott.

I'm using Payments Standard, and I clicked on the ? and it just says to enter my Paypal email address associated with my personal or business account.

This is what I have done, and I have tested the cart as far as I can without actually buying something, and it shows up the cart items, total & my email at the top with the two options of logging in or entering credit card details, so I guess it's working correctly! Looks good to me anyway. Won't know for sure until someone buys something! :)

Awesome! Head over to http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/shoppin … hops-here/ and post your shop here. ;)

I would do that, but I'm in a highly competitive industry, where fly by nighters come along and destroy the value of the products I sell, so I don't want them to find an easy way to set up a website against me. I have recommended your software to people I know outside of my industry though. :D

And sorry to interrupt your thread Jeff. :)

I doubt if there is a business in the world, that doesn't have some competition Bren. Whether it be by a similar product, or from a different way of doing things. It is said that a business without competition, is a business without customers.

The reality is that most large corporations will have detailed competitor files and be keeping their finger on the pulse as to what the competition is up to at all times. The smaller ventures will often produce something that is identical to their competitors, especially if that product appears to outsell their own. Like they say, it's nothing personal - just business.

All you can do with any venture is to present your products well, listen to feedback from your customers and go the extra mile to give your customers a first class buying experience. There is lots of software out there to quickly 'throw up a site', but the businesses that survive are the ones that focus on their customers, rather than attempting to make a quick buck.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
