The pro version is being aimed at a different target audience, so expect a whole new range of features. :)

So much for the old 'audience' - The Great Unwashed, I suppose... :/

Absolutely not Per. The basic version of cart creator simply isn't practical for many businesses. It is a question of evolve or flounder. The basic cart creator is an ongoing product, the pro version will appeal to the serious business user that has need of a better feature set.

Now I have tried the Shopping Cart Creator and I like it. I haven't seen tre pro version yet, but I have some wishings:

1. Import/export of excelfiles. It's much easier and faster to upload items, easier to make pricechanges for more products at same time by using formels.

2. At "Product options": At least 2 fields where customers can write f ex a short text they want to have printed on a product. IMPORTANT!

3. At the "Payment tools": Two more choises for the paying; 1. Prepay to Account (no cost). This will suit small shops. 2. Prepay by Post delivery (by choosing this it also must be a field for adding tax). We often use this in Sweden.

4. Item ID field. Customers don't need to see, but it's imporant to have ID.

5. Sub-categories.

6. Show number of items in stock

Thanks a lot:). I look forward to use the pro version

Here in the Netherlands, a lot of online payments are being done via i-Deal.
The client is forwarded to the internet page of the bank, at the known environment. The client enters the user-name and the password on the bank site, and a signal is being sent to the web shop when the payment was succesfull.

In 2009 alone +/- 45 mln payments have been done. In the Netherlands it is the most accepted payment method.

I could not find any requests for i-Deal. Did you perhaps take this payment method into account ?

The big brother of the famous Shopping Cart Creator is coming soon, and it’s even better then we anticipated!
Will this program work with Windows Vista 64 bit? I have read some users post they use the HTML editor with 64 bit, it did not work for me.
I'm "stuck" right now and I keep coming back to look at CoffeeCup. Over a dozen sites - one a web shop, built using a WYSIWYG program that recently changed its coding to be W3C compliant. All sorts of W3C errors and a messy looking shop :(
With my current program, I am able to customize or even build from scratch forms for each item I sell. I can arrange everything on the page however I want. I start with a blank slate, build and the program generates the code, be it for a HTML or PHP - my choice. It's not the "Z" program, kinda like it only easier - UNTIL the recent updates.
Basically, I'm asking will this pro version allow me total control and generate the proper code, that I load to my server ? USING Vista 64 bit.

Right now we still have no immediate plans to support any 64-bit systems. From what I have read from most users, they have no problems at all using the beta version of Shopping Cart Creator Pro or any of our other applications as well.

So you maybe ok ;)

As Scott indicated, while 64-bit systems are not "officially supported", I can say that I did not see any errors or problems while testing SCC PRO on my Win7 64-bit system. I do know that there are other users, who have had problems with other CC titles, where I have not. I had started a thread to try to track the varying success/problems, by asking about the hardware and what problems (if any) they were having on each title... Unfortunately, there hasn't been much interest in trying to narrow this down. And I don't blame CC for not expanding into the 64-bit support. It's not as easy (as some would like to believe) to make the move.

From what I've been told it looks like this will not be available, which I find mind boggling. I'm sure by now they are tired of seeing my whining posts lol . I think part of the reason I can't keep my mouth shut about this is I fail to see how one cannot easily include another form input type (text field) if you already have form input (dropdown) for product options. But then again I am not a software developer...

All features sound easy on paper. The implementation is a different story ;)

Part of the problem is that those other dropdown options are fixed items, which means they are permanently stored within the program, so are not a form input as such. When you insert a text input from the user, that's when the process becomes more complex, as Scott has indicated.

People have been extremely patient in waiting for the pro version of Cart Creator and the new feature sets have already been defined and finalised for its initial release. Any new features that are developed, will have to be compatible with all the payment options that the pro version will offer. ;)
