You're kidding? Man....I've been holding off on asking that until I really really needed the software. How's that for intuition? :-P

Yes I am kidding :P

Scott,

It may be a very British saying - though tomorrow never comes...... :/

Okay, excuse me for being behind the times or sounding redundant. My store isn't fully integrated but I have tried a few different shopping carts out there and the one that most interested me was Mercantec, the only thing I don't like about Mercantec is that at the very very VERY end of a transaction (the final step before submitting) I'm unable to color code the page to match the rest of my site. My colors are Orange and Yellow, so a bunch of blue bars doesn't work well, and a person may feel uncomfortable here wondering if they've strayed off the main site...because of this I haven't used them and currently don't have a cart. Everything else about them is great!

I never uploaded anything with CC's shopping cart version, I've only played with in on my computer. I frowned at a few things, all of which I see being "fixed" in the newer version. Yea! So, naturally I can't wait!

I still have one problem. I already have a site up and I don't want to use any of CC's shopping cart store templates, etc, they have, even if they are customizable. I just simply want to create the item/button code information and copy/paste it to where I want it to show on my site with whatever button image I choose, then alter the code on the site as necessary, or within the program (which will be a whole lot easier) and have it automatically update on the pages, for example....altering a price. I don't know if this sounds complicated to anyone, but this is easy to me and I have full control of the look and feel of all my pages, even if it will take a little longer to create. I'd rather have full control and more time than less time and less control. If I can get what I want and have it upload pictures and details that is awesome, but the pictures have to able to allow me to attach links to them.

Someone mentioned in a previous post to create frames, I'm actually in the process of removing the frames on my site for search engine purposes, so this option will not work for me.

If my concerns have already been answered I will happily take a link to that forum, I was reading through forums and have not found this information, but I'm in a hurry, so I may have missed it. If not, I will definitely appreciate a response.

Thank you. :)

We are actually working on an application called CoffeeCup Shopping Cart Designer which will give you 100% control over the look and feel of your Website. Look for an announcement in the forums this week.

However........ the software will probably never have the ability to just paste in a button to buy something. This is more or less how a PayPal Buy Now button works. Our software is a full shopping cart creator. I think though once you have our new designer application, this issue will no longer matter as much for you.

Thank you, Scott.

I actually was thinking more in the line of Add to Cart buttons and not a Buy Now button, but I can see where my statement may have brought on that thought.

I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting for the software. I will keep track of the forums. Thanks again!

All look good. But I'm waiting for options to be added before I purchase the product. Will the new release have the ability to add options to products (sizes, colors, etc.)?

Thanks,
Terry D.

Yes, the pro version will address that.

After endless searching for a usable cart, that just zapped customers straight to PayPal, instead of enduring long drawn out checkout processes, I finally discovered Shopping Cart Creator 3.5, which I've just purchased.

I am glad that the developers of this program are developing a separate Pro version, rather than taking the route of creating an overburdened piece of software.

I have up till now been using a fully featured piece of cart software, with all the 'bells and whistles' of digital uploads, sub categories etc. Trouble is, these more advanced programs out there are complex to install, are dependant on databases remaining free of errors, can be difficult to maintain and virtually none of them have an ability to checkout the potential buyer from cart to Payment processor in one click.

Shopping cart abandonment is something that profits none of us, so anything to minimise the payment process gets top marks in my book.

Well done on a great usable program. :D

Digital download would be very nice!

Is it possible to have SCC mail out a copy of the order to the vendor much the same as the buyer get a confirmation. Paypal is getting pretty unreliable in that respect and their help just regurgitates its standard help patter when you email them.
