[3] WIll I have to keep a separate 32-bit system up and running to be able to publish my CC software? CC-Ftp programs don't like 64-bit OSs.

All right, I decided to submit number three above.

At this time 64-bit operating systems are still unsupported. In all honesty I don't see any immediate plans to support that platform right away.

for Scott:

How can I do for have your mail?

I'm using a vista 64bit version and the actual version works fine.

Running on a 64bit system and being 64 bit software are 2 different things.

If you look on your system you'll see the directories Program Files and Program Files (x86)

The 32 bit apps install in the latter directory. There really is no reason to produce a 64bit app for Shopping cart. Doing so would just create more work on the programming side and have no real benefits to the users.

EDIT: I am, btw, waiting on pins and needles for the new release, sounds great.

Thanks for the upgrade. Everything looks great so far except when I try to add Google Analytics to the footer I'm told The Footer can only be edited in the registered version. Can this be changed to registered owner? I don't think it'll be a problem as I buried Google Analytics in my theme home page. I'll know after I upload my store, now underway.

Great job!

This feature is just disabled in the beta because it will be that way in the trial version. The official release will unlock that feature for registered users.

Hi Scott,
Time is really getting short for shopping cart.
If I were to become a beta tester, and started work on the site, then bought
the final 3.5 release when available could you see any problems having to rework the site?
I suppose what I am saying, is there going to be a significant difference between the beta and 3.5 release?

Cheers,
Baz.

The beta version is an evolving program so I would not recommend you use it in a production environment. We may make a change in the final version causing shops created/updated in the beta to no longer work.

Scott,

Would prefer it if the beta was still compatible with the released version, as we've been testing the beta on live site, to thoroughly test it. Have spent hours updating items. I suppose that is our risk.

Thanks anyway

I jumped in with both feet, in for a penny, in for a dime. My last backup of 3.1 was about 100 items ago. So I'll continue and take the risk also. 3.5 is so good to work with.....

A few problems I found with the beta version is that my delete key doesn't work when editing and I have to use the backspace key, minor problem. As regards the home page, I've tried editing using the CC edit option, using HTML option and finally a combination of both. I even tried the CC HTML program. It seems bold and font size don't work. I was able to add email contact and Google Analytics to it. I really like the Shop's Setting for Categories Page and selected just show category names as I have lots of categories, many of which will be dropped to sub-categories once that feature is available.

Like other users I have a wish list for future updates, however, the cart is very impressive for such a small purchase price. Nicely done!

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
