The attached (normal) .zip file shows a way that gets close to direct editing. I set up the container with a background image, but left the image as the default one. In the Header code of the Element panel for the container I set the background image as the .avif file.

The above is writing it in CSS (Juan's 'another option') but involves only the file name. All the other settings of the background image are controlled in SD in the normal way.

Thank you Frank ! I downloaded it, looked at it, I realized I’ll try it.

I'm sorry, my last post had the wrong file attached. The correct one is below.

So this is a background container and not an html element?
And the main question is how to stretch this video to the entire container for the mobile version, i.e. up to 640 pixels. I try to stretch it and it doesn't work. And as in the case of a standard Mp4, can I stretch it to the width of the container, say minimum w 320px max w 640 ?

Good. I was going to suggest the following in the container's background settings in the Styles panel, and I guess you've done something similar.
1. Repeat: turn off by clicking on the X.
2. Size: choose Custom, and set the Horizontal to 100% and the Vertical to Auto.

I'm glad Frank was able to sort your problem. I intended to have a go myself, but after I had downloaded your file, I had a ten-year-old visitor who managed to lose half a glass of coke onto my laptop keyboard. The laptop is now at the repair shop, and i'm using my iPad...
Ha en riktig god dag!
