This is very confusing

So you are using Foundation framework??
You have set the "Display For" in the styles tab for "Fallback First"???

You are trying to install a component which is a grid ????

when you try to install the component You get a message about some styles cannot be transferred (or words to that effect)

Usually this means that you already have a component on your page with the same class names as the one on the component tou are trying to add to the page,,

You can still add it but it doesn't look right (stylesnot showing correctly) you simply need to look at the class names for the added component (they will probably have been given an appended number,, You can change the class name or do some CSS styling to make them work and or look right.

I could solve the problem but I still don't fully understand...

Yes, I use Foundation.
I have an old project - The "Display for" in that Project is "Display Grid"
Now I made a new component in another Project - where the "Display for" was set to "fallback first".

When I import the new component (fallback first) into the old project ("Display Grid" I get a lot of mismatch.
No problem with class names.
I often have problems with that Display Definition - changing the "Display for" will destroy the whole Layout.

But one can "rework" all in the new Display mode (same like wrong class names) .

But in this case:
The reason was the grid - I placed the new component inside a grid (Line based placement) but the grid Element was wrong defined...

All is good now. Thanks

I have stopped using the Support query altogether. Alberto, one of the former developers at CC, once told me that he would have removed that feature from SD because it makes more trouble than it solves. It was an 'IE11' thing, as IE11 didn't understand the grid. Now we don't have that old browser anymore.

Hi Inger, one more question
- should I use "Display grid" or "fallback first" for a project. I found that there are problems in importing Components into a "grid first" project, when they come from a "fallback first" project. And vice versa.

If you don't use the support query, you won't be able to set anything to display grid. But you can still USE grid. Then, it will all be in Fallback first. That is the most problem-free way.
