Although it seems to me that you may be missing the point about what breakpoints are for.

The first thing you ask yourself when you reach a position that the layout breaks "is there something I can do at this position that means I don't have to add a breakpoint? If the answer is yes a little bit of adjusting will work then do the adjustment, if the answer is no, nothing I can do, then go ahead and add a breakpoint.

The two breakpoint amounts you mention are so close together, I can't see what benefit there would be for a visitor.

I was talking about the CC menus in your link.
By moving the breakpoint you'll keep the style settings. If you create a NEW breakpoint at your desired pixel point and then delete the existing breakpoint, you'll have to add the styles from scratch.
