Hello,

I just bought Site Desginer. I was under the impression that it is very easy to create a website using Site Designer.
To me it looks somewhat complicated to get started so I was wondering fi there is anywhere I can have pages in a template especially customized?

Hi Cathrine
First of all welcome to CC Forum

Secondly do you have a preference for which framework you prefer

1. foundation 6
2/bootstrap
3/materialize
4/ frameworkless

There are built in templates in site designer,m for each framework and there are more templates here

https://themes.coffeecup.com/

You can also look at a number of How To videos, including building a website from scratch.

I also do step by step videos , there are others also who can help guide you through.

If you would like just an introduction to site Desiger to find out how to get all that stuff going you can email me from the address in my signature ▼

Thank you very much for your answer. I did not see it until now.

How can I share my site designer with people so they can help me with the creation of template pages?
I am too old to figure it out mseylf

What sort of website is it that you are wanting, what do you want the website to do for you, and for the people who will visit it.
I have sent you an email already.

I want to build two business websites. One of them is very big and somewhat complicated.
I am talking with someone about how to go about this.
I see videos etc. but it is still somewhat too complicated for me.
There are many things to consider regarding you need to know what size everything should be etc

I thought I would mention to you that Wayan assisted me with my Site Designer template last year.
He helped me a great deal and now my website is up online , thanks to him :)

All the best , Michael

Hi Michael,

Thank you for letting me know that.
I have built a big website in .htm with all that it takes with coding etc. so I hope and pray I will eventually figure out how to use Site Designer so I do not have to take so much time paying attention to coding

All the best,

Cathrine

I understand that your current website has been made by using a code editor, writing the HTML code yourself. If that site is fairly old, maybe it was made not using CSS, but the old HTML styling code. Well, with Site Designer (SD) you need a different approach. One thing first off: you cannot import your current pages into SD, but it is possible to copy/paste the content, at least most of it.

One way to go, if you want our help, is letting us see your current site (start with just one of them) and then tell us what you want to change and how you want it to look. You can look at the templates that come with SD, and if you find one you like, we could help you adapt it, get your content into it, make/extend the site navigation and such. If you don't like any of the templates, there are more here: https://themes.coffeecup.com/ .

I am ok for now with old website
FIrst and foremost I need to figure out what Site Designer is basically about.
As mentioned in my email to you I have a new domain and I want to create a website for that domain.
I do not want that website to be too big however it must of course have the necessary information on the website.

I haven't had any emails from you. You probably mean Wayan.
