It would be nice if you could let us know how you managed to solve a problem. Other users may have the same issue and could do with some help.

You have asked a lot here and some of us have gone above and beyond to assist you. If you can give some help and advice in return, why not do so?

This discussion brings up a question for me. I am working on a site that is now 55 pages. I expect it to go 2 to 3.5 times larger.

Is there a limit on number of pages in SD. I am aware there maybe on the ISP account size.

Thanks,
Lew

There is a suggested limit of around 125 pages, then it could start to slow down and become difficult to work with, I have done one or two that are around the 145 pages and dis experience some strange things going on, for a really large amount of pages there's some possible workarounds that involve perhaps a rethink of the design and possible reduction in the amount of pages, and then one can also combine one or two projects together although that could get fiddly but in theory would allow for a huge amount of pages, the process for that way would also perhaps be better shown as an example rather that written words. It would be interesting to hear as Inger says how Margrit and her mysterious advisor approached and solved her problem. One awaits with baited breath

My 'component shop' has now altogether 382 pages, but as I may have said earlier, it actually consists of 6 projects, one for each 'framework' (made with those different frameworks) plus the top project that ties them all together. That is my workaround for the number limitation. I have a subfolder for each framework inside the main location.
I have also made sites in more than one language, and for that, I have one 'main' language, and the other languages are separate projects with their separate subfolders. Just to give you an idea about how things can be solved.
Ha en riktig god dag!

I guess that those projects with more than 125 pages weren't with recent versions of SD. My experience at present is that, even with blank pages, when one tries to add the 126th. page one succeeds only in getting the following message:

"You reached the page limit! This version allows up to 125 pages per project. If
your site needs more pages you could split them over different projects. Future
versions will likely allow for more pages per project."

Yes a while ago, can't remember the build number, and the one I did last year with 450 pages I did it the same way as Inger says, by splitting into exported projects inserted as files and linked. And it may evn have been with folders in the ones a while ago, I can't remember to be sure (can't even remember what I had for breakfast this morning :D
