I just tried the html5 Video content Element - opened an account in a cloud - loaded up an MP4 Video and tried to embed the link with SD - no luck.
The link I got from the cloud was like this
https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code … SQfJ87kVh7
When I put it into a browser window I can play it - but I cannot when I put it in Element _ Video source
Preview says "No Video with supported format and MIME type found"

At first sight the mp4 file seems to be at https://edef1.pcloud.com/cBZiIs0RZgoC9Q … a-song.mp4 .

I used Internet Download Manager, and looked to see from where it was downloading it.

I put that long link in the HTML5 Video element of SD4 and it worked fine, but one does, of course, in such circumstances need to use 'Preview on ...' rather than just 'Preview'.

Whow - great idea with the download manager.
But still I am not lucky. (Preview on firefox) When I put your link into the browser directly I get the answer
"This link was generated for another IP address. Try previous step again. "
Is the download link bound to a certain ip ?
Any idea ?

I don't know, but I attach a completely unformatted (and with no added poster etc.) SD4 file where it works for me.

I've just temporarily exported that SD4 file to

https://fc7777.coffeecup.com/video_exported ,

I wonder whether it appears OK there. It does for me.

No - I just opened it in my browser - the sd layout is there but no video could be found...
I think there should be something with the ip inside the link - erhaps you could try to open it with Tor Browser - than you get another IP ...

I see what you mean. I used a VPN to view it from another IP, and hit the same problem. I'll remove the file I temporarily put online.

It seems to me likely that the answer to the question in the title of this thread is 'Yes, but some sites may make this difficult'. Perhaps you could try using a short video I made long ago for a report to the CoffeeCup team: https://fc7777.coffeecup.com/live-previews.mp4 . If that works for you, it would seem to confirm that answer.
