I must be missing something. I can make an Unordered list of links with the UL Link Text component but I don't find a way to make the list ordered i.e. numbered.

Figured it out and here is a hint
<ol>
<li><a href="https://www.example.com">Link 1</a></li>
<li><a href="https://www.example.com">Link 2</a></li>
<li><a href="https://www.example.com">Link 3</a></li>
</ol>

I too would use an Ordered List element. Making a link of a List Item seems easiest by using Edit Mode as follows:
(a) editing the text;
(b) selecting it all;
(b) clicking on the Link [+] button (near the top of Edit Mode) and entering the URL in the box that appears.
