Hi Michael, Here is another way of creating the 'Read more/less' component. This one does not use js at all and is maybe easier. This one also has two units that can be taken out of the holding container 'whole-page' and placed where needed. You just have to give the .wrapper different IDs. It uses the Pseudo Selector 'Target' to show and hide the paragraph text. To edit that text, remove the height of the container .wrapper temporarily by setting it to auto. Remember to set it back when done. The different height before and after the breakpoint is all it takes to make more of the text visible on wider screens.
The 'heavy lifting' (creating the thing)has been done by Frank Cook, and I have transferred it into an older SD version for you.

Hi Inger, this seems really to be the ideal solution for wider screens.
I only have one problem - In preview in SD I cannot open the text with the read more button - HOWEVER it is working in the browser (Firefox). I put your container into another container (f.e. footer) - might that be the reason ?

The internal Preview and Device View are not able to open all the things that a browser can. You can probably open the component with the Read More buttons visible, but clicking on them doesn't work. The essential thing is if you are able to preview in browsers. So it doesn't matter if you pop it into the footer or some other place.

Yes you are right Inger - if it is working in a browser it is what counts. And it is a very handy, simple solution.

Frank and Inger - I just come to use this tool - it is really great - it makes the layout very smooth - it is just what I could ever have wanted ! Thanks.
