Too bad though a great designer with high rez images is being penalized by Coffeecup by forcing him to use the "picture element" which TELLS the modern day browser what image size and resolution it has to choose between breakpoints. If Coffeecup did like any other modern day design website software they would give us the <img> tag alone with use of scrset and let the modern day browsers choose based on dpi and the image size on the screen.
To really properly use the picture element one also should have access to landscape and portrait settings....and thats nowhere in sight. A Ipad Pro would have loaded the largest image he had ....but nope the picture element overuled the smart modern browser and stuck a lower quality image there.

Oh...forgot the mention the picturefill.js polyfill for IE that loads on all modern browsers automatically too that already "DO" support the picture tag. What a waste of bandwidth and a penalty to all of us for that....at least put in a browser test to see if the picture tag is supported and then skip the loading of picturefill.js of its not IE11. Read the picturefill.js documents on how to do that....pretty simple.

Mind you unless I am terribly wrong all that doesn't apply or work with background images, and if the user has JS disabled the images will never appear unless a fallback is in place, but I may have not fully understood, I think there is a workaround with CSS for background images.
One other thing is it seems to me that it needs more than a tad of technical know-how, which maybe a bit beyond a lot of users of SD which maybe the reason for not yet adopting implementing something that could mean it being over complicated to do for a lot of people.
I do however support what Twinstream has said and the points he makes it can only be a great thing to do for image heavy webpage loading speed.

I could not see the jump of the first slide on my iPhone, maybe it was the menu bar that was taller than the container it's in.

I am not sure why it has not been mentioned but on my Iphone the hamburger jumps or stutters like crazy when scrolling up and down. Its a older Iphone6 if that helps but there is something happening in Safari.

Thanks for mentioning I am aware of this issue and have been trying to find a resolve for this but no luck, it only seems to happen on some iOS devices.

It has got something to do with the Menu system I use. The software is "AllWebMenus Pro ver 5.3" (https://www.likno.com/allwebmenusinfo.html)

I have been in touch with them a few times but sadly they are not even responding. I'm currently looking for a replacement but it's not easy to find, I like all the features this software offers.
