You are not using .expanded class any longer on your menu. You are using slide-in-left slide-out-left. So the last part of the resize jquery test will not prove true because the .expanded class never gets added.

Not sure what a fix would be as I have struggled with nav animations and windows resize recently and gave up. When I get some time I will try to see if there is a fix. Its also worth mentioning that when the menu expands to desktop and back to mobile sized the aria-expanded does not change either so you cannot use that. I also do not like using data-responsive-toggle and prefer to just toggle the nav with data-toggle.

Thank you Twinstream. I didn't know you could not have two data responses.
To be fair, I really like the Foundation menus but they are incredibly difficult to get perfect. One little thing breaks them. Even hand coding them with the docs is not easier and many including myself are just giving up trying to get them to work with the sticky component. I might look for an alternative. Just don't want to go down the bootstrap route for now as most of their sites look quite generic especially the navbar. Regards Phil

Phil, I tried to open your own site in order to better understand what kind of 'burger' icon you are discussing, to see if I could be of any help. But I couldn't find your site?!?

Regarding the coding of Foundation menus, they very often use a button, and inside that button they have placed the 'hamburger'. (The person who invented the 'i' for an icon should be shot! The 'i' in html has meant italic for at least 25 years!). In SD3 it is not possible to place anything INSIDE a button. So, after having turned a fair amount of foundation menus into SD3 files, I have found this workaround: I pop in a container instead of a button, and inside it I place a font icon that I add the necessary styling and attributes to. Before I found this workaround, I used to place certain bits of css into the Settings, now Page Manager. (I still do that with various code that cannot yet be entered in SD3.)

When I started using RSD (well, actually I first used RFF) back in 2016, I had a lot of trouble with creating good menus. But after having done this some 20 times, it gets easier. ;)

Removed the data-responsive-toggle. Used the data-toggle on icon with a data-toggler on the #sub-nav that has a Dynamic Class (Best Voted Feature of SDv3 - yeah !). Added data-animate options. Added script to close menu if re sized on Desktop while still toggling Coffeecup Icons.

Foundation vs Bootstrap
Foundation uses lots of js while Bootstrap gets out of your way and concentrates on Html and CSS.
Foundation has the Data-Toggle if you want to skip the jquery scripts.
Breakpoints are different on both Frameworks.

I am pleased Coffeecup has added mobile up Vanilla to SDv3. Frameworks can be confusing and time consuming to learn. Simple scripts if you learn some basics can do wonders. There are a lot of Websites built by Great Designers with RSD 1.5 and still look great. Vanilla SDv3 is like RSD 1.5 only on steroids. Pick what ever works to your strengths.

Here are some videos: https://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles … d-builder/

If you have further question about using SDv3, please don't post in this thread which is for bragging about already created sites. ;) Make a new thread instead.
