hi all~

looking for a quick refresher on responsive sizing switching to mobile from desktop.

I'm looking for the difference in sizing to ensure that everything fits correctly in its pad/mobile section.

Thanks a million~

Hi Zoe,

Im not to sure what your exact question is about. If you are using the app SD then depending on what framework you choose you can slide the slider left or right to grow or shrink the view. Make sure to enable the breakpoints to default mode.

Hope this is what you were asking? Seems a bit obvious but not sure how long you have been working with SD.

Hi Zoe
Are you using SD 'FRAMEWORKLESS' on this one other than "Foundation" and if so which way DESKTOP DOWN or MOBILE UP?

I am sorry to say this ans sort of repeat what Inger has said in a previous post

You really really need to give us a bit more information about exactly what it is you are wanting help with
starting with the framework you are using, is a great help, not all users here use all the frameworks (some do and can do, others mainly concentrate of one or possibly 2)

The version/build number of Site Designer (or other CC App) is also useful, even though you may have done that before, give us a clue every time you post a NEW thread.

Windows or Mac is a good idea too especially if the solution involves keyboard stuff etc (I for one wouldn't know my way around a Mac (keyboard screen etc etc) whatever the difference may be, but if I knew it was for a Mac then I would probably not even try respond unless it was an all for one one for all solution so to speak.

A bit more info really really helps clear the fog from our crystal balls.

As far as this post goes as Steve says simply slide the thingy up or down (left or right)

Remember Site Designer is a sort of super duper What You See Is What You Get sort of thing, although I always add a little bit more for those following my tutorials, its what I call
What you DO is what you see is what you get

So starting at small if it's mobile first framework, slide the thingy up (right)
LOOK AT WHAT THE DESIGN LOOKS LIKE, keep asking yourself DOES IT LOOK OK is it functioning OK if it is ok keep going even if you go past a default breakpoint, keep going, UNTIL THE LAYOUT/FUNCTIONALITY breaks and it looks like something the dog dragged in. STOP slider there.

Now ask yourself, what can I do to make it look GREAT AGAIN DON"T DO ANYTHING YET JUST ASK YOURSELF THE QUESTION.

If the answer is NOTHING I CAN DO HERE WITHOUT DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT, Save the project then ADD A BREAKPOINT

so now you have reached the What You DO is what You See, So DO something to make the layout / functionality look great again, when that's good to go, save your work again,
Continue upwards repeating as you go until you get a nice smooth transition all the way from small to large.

BOOM
What you have done is what you have seen is what you have got.

And you visitors will GET and SEE what you have done without knowing or caring about what it was all they see is a great website that says WOW

Working from large widths to smaller ones is possible too but more involved UNLESS YOU ARE USING FRAMEWORKLESS DESKTOP DOWN then its the same principle in reverse.

For Foundation it is possible but requires a little bit more care and attention, and a lot more fiddle (THAT's a whole new tutorial (visual).

Thanks Steve and Wayan! ~

I am using frameworkless desktop first, but I want to make sure that I have them at the right size before making them components. I will review like you said and do it, thanks again!
