Submit button on a form

I incorporated the first form shown in the components (Contact Section Footer). It has a Submit button. Trouble is - when I add this to my project I can't find any help on what to put in the boxes that are given in the Selected Elemental Properties in the Element column. They all have special titles like Name/Value/Form/Action etc but I have no idea what these mean and what to put in them. Can someone point me to help or give me some info? Thanks!

I should add that I am using Site Designer and don't have any form builder programs. Also, what I want to do is have the information in the form sent to an email address when Submit is pressed. I hope this is possible.

Hi Michael
I incorporated the first form shown in the components (Contact Section Footer).
Is that in site designer components? or from the CC components library? I can't remember which is the first form in the components, I have introduced a lot of custom forms to that section

Using the built in elements in Site Designer, requires some backend php code (possibly some custom CSS and JS code (for custom captcha, to help reduce these nasty spam bot thingies.

I am at this very moment doing a step by step tutorial showing how to do that (for another use)
I can make it available for you to watch if you think it might be of use. Can I ask how experienced you are with writing code and using site designer.

I have 5 Input boxes and 1 List Box, basically to get names, addresses, etc. The attached screenshot shows what I think I need to complete but for which there appears to be no Help! Thanks!

You will need more than just that (from screenshot) which is why I offered some help in the way of step by step how to video tutorial. These things cannot easily be offered to cater for all possible combinations.

That's why I am doing a step by step video tutorial, it does cover the basics, but would require more specific things for each individual scenario. The first of a series of the step by step will be available tomorrow (Indonesian time) where are you based in this world.

Hi Michael,
In order to find out what to put into the various fields shown in the image you posted, you could perhaps check out my 'Basic Form' on this page: https://mock-up.coffeecup.com/f-comps/f … form.html.

Great forms. Trouble is, I am very ignorant about the underlying principles etc regarding html files. I can basically use Site Designer. But going beyond that is hard for me. I am naive! So my basic question on your great form shown at https://mock-up.coffeecup.com/bs-comps/ … -form.html is - how does it know where to send the information when Submit is clicked. I've looked at the underlying source. The Submit line is: <div class="container-1 container-grid container-fluid-1" id="submit"><button type="submit" class="btn-1" formmethod="post">Submit!</button></div> To me that's not giving a place to send things. Or, of course, knowing how to modify my Site Designer project so the Submit button works would be more useful. Thanks! And thoughts?

First off, I thought you were using the Foundation framework, since that was where I found the component you said you were using. I have the same 'Basic form' built in all the frameworks included in SD, but you need to use the component pertaining to the framework you are using.

If you look into the included PHP file, that is where you add the mail address you want the form to be sent to. Please read my comments on the page from which you downloaded the component, it is explained there.
