Using multiple templates on one project
Hello again developers~
Looking to gain insight on using multiple templates on one project (on separate pages) without activating a new project? Can this be done without destroying my current progress?
I'm starting to understand the format for one page, but multiple pages is still a bit of a challenge for me. Any advice helps, thanks!

I wonder, why would you want to use different templates on different pages of the same site? The templates are made to give a website (with more than one page) a look that tells the visitors that the pages belong together. As a 'uniform' or so.
If you want to create pages that differ from page to page, I'd say don't use any template at all. Make your own design for, say, the index page, and when you start on the next page, you don't duplicate the page you already have, but open a blank page and create something different.

Oh wow! You're THE Inger from the components shop?? Thank you for answering my question!
Hmm, I understand. I'd also prefer to keep the same functionality as my mockups, but I've had to edit them to open up space for inserting items. I am trying to get a menu to work on frameworkless desktop first that appears when a person scrolls back up, but so far haven't been able to get that down. Also, I have a series of custom buttons I've already made for each individual page in my page design mockups, but moving them over and keeping the functionality within the same parameters is more than difficult. The one button that has worked for me so far is using the modal button in a centered position. I have not tried any other pre-installed buttons yet, but if you have any recommendations for which ones can be used on a blank screen, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Zoe, If you need help with something, you'll have to be a bit more specific about how/where you are mounting those buttons, and actually, what it all is supposed to look like. I read an earlier post of yours that you were asking about how to make a button sit on top of an image (I think it was), and someone gave you a clear reply to that. If your question now is about the same thing - or something different, you have to explain. Or better still; let us see your project file.

Okay, thank you for your insight!
One of the problems I am having is with a modal button. I am playing videos on more than one page, and they are different videos, but the main button will take the same photo as the other page. I'm not exactly sure why that is happening now, but these are different site pages. I have given up on correct button placement over my photos, they were made in another software. I'd post a picture, but because this is not my project, I'm limited in what I can share visually.

I think I figured the button out. Thank you Inger for your help! i'm gonna look at the mockup website you have for more buttons too!

The notion is intriguing. Perhaps the attached, or the web page that it quotes, will give some ideas about how it might be done.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
