There was a post not long ago, by Eric Rohloff, I think, saying that blogging is not within the scope of SD. Anyway, I do think you need PHP to achieve what you want.

Regarding what I wrote about having given a class the name of .main; It was an example. Also, I didn't know all that much about using SD as I do now when I started out with my component collection. I had never imagined it would end up with over 500 entries either.

Technically you could load a blog without php into a SD page but that's it. You re not going to actually post to the blog without some other backend scripts or app. The easiest would be an Iframe.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Yes, perhaps this post has already been made. I must have forgotten, getting older
Regarding your collection, I'm sure there are a couple of dozen people, including myself, who are grateful to you and eagerly await additions to the collection.
As for semantics, I think it's not so crucial. In the end, quality and convenience are the most important factors.

Exactly, an iframe! Is it still relevant? I thought it was archived along with Flash, in the history archives. The idea of an iframe, as it seems to me, was not bad. It was very relevant in certain cases.
And for articles without a backend, you'll have to write them as separate pages. I agree this is inconvenient

Semantics are important for screen readers to help their users understand the webpage they are visiting. It's to do with accessibility, which is avery important factor used by search engines to place websites on their search results page.
The thing is if you don't use semantic tags that's ok as far as Google is concerned but if you do attempt to use them then you must follow the recommended guidelines and best practices otherwise you will face HTML validation errors warnings etc, which does have an impact on search engine results positioning. So the thing is don't do it at all no worries, do it and get it wrong then worry, because it will have an effect, in so much as screen readers and search engines could be confused and therefore not relay the info correctly to users with the result of lower serps rankings.

That's right, that's why I asked whether components adhere to semantics. Ultimately, personally for me, it's not so crucial; I just wanted to know how components are structured.

You could also just upload a changed SD project after export but that would be very time consuming. I would use some type of app or script to do it so you can blog from your mobile device and have it show up i your SD page.

I hope that in version 6 of SD, such a function will be added. So that SD can play the role of a backend. It's time to get rid of the outdated thinking that the backend is an attribute of CMS and come to the point that any application can become a backend. :P

As Phileas Fogg once said, 'habit of thought needs to be driven away - a dining knife can become a weapon.' It was a good cartoon, although sometimes this Phileas Fogg was terribly annoying. :)

P.S. I don't like smartphones; I prefer computers.
