Well you make every product so that people can easily build their own site, but what about people who just want to use a CMS and save a lot of time and hassle?

If any company could make a good CMS it would be you guys.

Don't say people don't buy CMS softwares because you know they do, even if there are tons of free ones out there, people still pay for really powerful CMS softwares.

Can I ask how this works? Within a site designed in coffee cup I can specify areas that can be updated by users who can then use editwrx in their browser to change the text within this area? Is that correct?

All for it.
I pay for the ones I use..... but only ever use CC HTML Editor for all the skinning I do for the cms templates. So either CC could just sell some nice templates to go with existing cms or get something of their own out there.

It is very useful to be able to hand over - with confidence - the small daily maintenance to the client without fear of them messing up a whole site accidentally.

I use a CMS according to the need. If I'm putting up 3 or 4 static pages, I use VSD...anything else I use wp or joo/mla...

Wish list for software program:

If desktop software exist so could take a folder with articles(text files)so you don't have to load each one, options to automatically and manually build keywords, build sef urls, and use some nice templates with ad/sense built in, fast page loads(not using absolute position or has a page accelerator built in), and rss/xml file generation, I'm there. Some software does some of these, but doesn't do all.

Strong graphics rendering would also be nice and it would automatically fill the graphic alt's with keywords.

...automatically backlink your domain to a couple hundred pr5 or above sites.:)

The problem is, at least as I see it, that there are so many free CMS-solutions out there already. Why would I want to buy one, even if it came from CoffeeCup? It would have to be something very special. Easy to use, easy to install, and easy to customize. If CC can come up with something like that, I'd be willing to try it. For a reasonable price, that is!

Would love to see CoffeeCup develop a good CMS product. I currently use one called CityDesk (http://www.fogcreek.com/citydesk/ and it works great, but is no longer actively developed. I use it on my site http://www.jeffkolker.com/ and have done a few other sites using it as well.

It would be good for CC to have a CMS system that can integrate all their existing applications much like the HTML editor. But a template driven CMS solution would also allow for the rapid changes and updates.

Yes, it would be great if CC could develop a web based website developer that is as simple to use as the old Geocities and so on but as powerful as Joomla.
It would have the options of creating a website from scratch or defining pages and areas of pages that can be edited by the user whilst protect the rest of the website.
That would be great for my older customers.

I think I would pay money for that...
