I'm a website designer and love your software. I would absolutely love it if you folks could come up with a shopping cart creation program that (while incorporating PayPal's IPN (also using other payment processors)), would provide automated SECURE/ENCRYPTED download links for digital products. This feature is in such high demand and yet to provide it can be a real pain...not to mention fairly confusing at times. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS!!!

LOL - I already HAVE a solution for this and, from anywhere in the world on the Internet, it takes me from 30 seconds to a full minute add an item with picture and PayPal button turned on :)

It's called Get A Friend Who Can Program A Cart Compiler :)

Yes CC does monitor your posts.

In fact they have been looking at a shopping cart for a while.
However it is not an easy project.
It needs to be a very simple implementation for novice users but still have the bells & whistles more advanced users need.

All I can say is "stay tuned"

I 3rd, 4th & 5th it too!
This would be a great addition to the all the fantastic software currently available! I also agree that it would need to be easily configured for the beginner but still have all the goodies to satisfy everyone. The cart I run currently is a freebie DL and might be a basis or starting point but I'm sure coffeecup could do much better! It's text based CGI scripted which installs easily!

(Please Note: I have NO affiliation with this software at all)

That is great news! :)
I will be waiting patiently (well maybe impatiently) for the release.
Hope fully it will be soon and just as affordable as all your other software!
No doubt it will just be as good!
Keep up the fantastic work, Pro54Ford

This sounds juicy. How will it work? Will it configure and use MySQL? XML? Will it interface with Authorize.net?, PayPal Express Checkout? Tell me more. I can't wait for the trial.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

I would like to add something to this post, in-fact it's the only reason I signed up for the forum actually...

I've notice WAY to many companies building web admin carts, catalog carts, etc etc etc...

What I've noticed is that there are 3 MAJOR problems with all of them.

#1 being that most of them use some sort of "EXTRA" database such as MySQL. Now while this may not be a bad thing for some Linux nerds or those dos box junkies, it's a darn nightmare for a simple guy that wants to setup an e-store.

My suggestion is that you try something that has never been done before. a CUSTOM database, better still a database such as a xml file to store info etc. I don't know exactly, but I'm just tired of trying to configure all these database things.

#2 On the other hand you have those fly by night kind of jobs where you get a piece of software and it's not all that bad. but the support is horrible and for some reason you can't publish the pages because you get a run-time error.

A good example of a simple cart that I'd LOVE to use but is lacking in just a few things would be fast ecart by code9software: http://www.code9software.com/fastecart- … -cart.html

Which is what's giving me greef and there's been no help on their end for some reason. the shopping cart is fine and dandy, but I can't make anything publish so it's kind of useless right now until I get help with it.

#3 I notice that not many shopping carts have a "Avablable inventory" and or "stock monitoring" unless you go for Actinic, astrosell or something such as those. I've tried those and Actinic is the buggiest POS software I've ever used.

Bottom line is, if I had something like fast ecart with a way to monitor stock it would be the perfect tool.

I don't need logins and passwords or anything to keep track of my customers, there's better software for that that you can use for receipts and customer storage that you can add when they purchase something.

What we need is something simple, powerful enough to do the things that matter, and DOESN'T require you to mess with those confusing database engines because quite frankly the regular guy will never buy it because they'd get annoyed at trying to configure it.

If I wanted something that was all razzle dazzle I'd use Zen-Cart. But again, it's all MySQLed up the yin yang and it all confusing to use. not to mention if I have to restore my computer from another point in time I want a quick and dirty way for just raring my store (info, storage, and all) and dropping it back on when I restore my computer.

I know this post is long and (boring) but I had to express the feeling I have towards this topic. I've been searching for MONTHS trying to find that perfect solution, but I yet to find it...

I'm hoping you guys will do me some good as I like how your other software just works.

Thank you for reading this novel and I hope to see it soon.

Sincerely, Postality Knights
