Hi, So is there VSD for MAC already?? I am having the WORST troubles. I am running Parallels on a MacBook Pro. VSD (even the latest 7.0, Build 24 verson) quits when I try to open an existing website. I can open it by clicking on the file directly, but then if I work on the file and try to save to a new name, the whole application quits again. Work gone. POOF!

I am desperate. Do I have to buy a PC in order to continue with my beautiful website (accent-american.com)??

Please let me know.

Programs that do not have a MAC version are just so lame and outdated.....

At this time, VSD will not be ported to OSX. We will have a visual editor type of program for OSX, but it will be different. However using VSD under Parallels should have no problems at all. I use Parallels with XP and Windows 7 daily and never have had a single issue with them.

Scott I don't have a Mac but doe's CC have a small help article for Mac users wishing to use VSD so they can make sure they have everything setup right with Parallels?

We don't have any articles for virtual machine users. There really is no need because you simply install the software like you would under any Windows computer. There is no special configuration or something to aid with that task.

That's cool. I'm going out and getting a Mac today!. Not!!

Quite apart from the Mac issues - which I'm afraid I have no help for - I noticed, while glancing at your site, that your "About Us" page was loading excruciatingly slowly. The culprit is the small (139px wide) picture of yourself. The image you're using is 2,000px wide and needs to be re-sized before uploading. If you re-size it to 139x196px, the image file size will be about 20Kb rather than the almost 3Mb you have now. The picture is also distorted, since it has been given the wrong aspect ratio (should be 139x195, rather than 139x178px).
And, while I'm at it, I might as well also mention that your menu buttons would benefit from better alignment and more even spacing.

I discovered CoffeeCup early on in my website journey, and it was lifeline, spur and an all-in-one education.

My work centers around images and film, and I gravitated to Mac. Aaaagh - coffeecup was not there.

Came a number of years of non-CC experimentation in site building, with fun, some successes, and a fair number of frustrations. I learned a lot, but discovered nothing quite like CoffeeCup.

The web world is full of offers, promises. distractions and splash. I like to keep it simple, and the memory of CC became like a magic isle, shrouded in mist and just out of reach.

I stayed on the mailing list and sighed over the distant and unavailable promises.

Constantly searching for all I need - galleries, shopping carts, design flexibility - I thought I would risk the perilous shores of rejection, and venture to see if by chance CC had introduced Mac access.

And a fairytale plays out: the shore is no longer rocks, but welcoming smooth sand, on which is written 'MacOS Beta.'

Signed up, and am eagerly and anxiously awaiting the hero prince to gallop to my rescue on a fine white steed called Group Testing . .

Whats on my mind (it says). Currently its just how long do you intend to string people along over the Mac business. Admit it - you have no intention of producing a Mac version. I feel really, really let down by the length of time tis is taking. How much is MS paying you?

And don't bother with a jokey reply like "send biscuits" or "be nice to teacher" - You guys are losing all credibility in the UK.

mac versions are being tested by beta testers now. So, chill.
