Wow!!

It's good to see so much attention generated regarding CC software for Mac!!

I've made the switch to Mac, and I use my PC & Mac interchangably. Although CC doesn't make compatable software for Mac, I still think its a great piece of software (All of them).

I would like to respond to Todd Hudson's assertion about the software.

He said ... "actually have a hard enough time getting the junk to work on Windows"

I'd blame windows long before I'd blame CC software. my experience with the software has taught me that the quirkiness of Host Servers and Windows OS make up a large part of the frustration when trying to use the software.

The CC software is not the problem. I use the entire Adobe CS4 Web Suite, but for the most part when it comes to forms, calendars, video plays, and placing music on my sites - it's a lot more efficient for me to use the CC software than to try to wade thru reems of instruction with either Dreamweaver, or other Video player software.

Don't get me wrong, the Adobe CS4 Suite is essential to my business, but the CC software saves me so much time. Yea I've had issues but when you work with software and you depend on it, you should expect to have to solve some problems.

Todd I understand what you're saying, but alot of people like myself have had completely positive experiences with the CC software.

I have had some serious issues with Adobe Fireworks and the new Photoshop software, but I would never call it Junk??!!

I do hope that you work out whatever issues you have - but I will say calling it "junk" is way over the top and it says more about your lack of understanding to problem solve than the CC software failing it's user.

No Offense ... I'm just a happy customer!!!

Just curious - why do you need CC programs for a mac, anyway?

According to the mac zealots, all you really need to do is turn it on, clap your hands together, state "Make Website", and all is well.

Now for you Linux users out there, this will all have to be done at the command line, of course.

I think this thread has run it's course. Too many 2nd rate comedians trying to kick-start a career.

Sorry Gregory, I'm actually a fan of Tom's comedic talents. I think if he hits the right forums, that 2nd rate might bump up to 1st.

I think you're right though, that we may be surprised along the way. CoffeeCup's crew is running on Mac computers. It's only a matter of time, right?

P.S. I just purchased my second Mac Book Pro (17inch) but I have to wait for it to be delivered. They're saying delivery starts in 7-10 days. So, I wait impatiently for either the UPS or the FedEx man to show up at my door.

Humor is fine. I do find it a fascinating insight to hear what people think about MAC folks. And yes, Tom - you are marginally funny. (Okay, I laughed!)

Anyway - lets' keep up the dialog, the interest, dare I say, the pressure. Those of us who have worked in both worlds (MAC and PC) and have dabbled in the Third World (oops! the Developing World) of Linux - know what works best where. My choice of a MacBook has more to do with the hardware then the software. The software, of course, is a huge bonus but I do miss CoffeeCup. I run CC software for my website in Parallels in the MAC but it's not the same. I really don't like having to use XP because it crashes on the MAC as much as on a PC.

My observation is that the MAC is more stable by a large order of magnitude. In over a year I've had to restart the MAC only a couple of times, and that when I was pushing it very, very hard. With Windows it's a daily occurance. Interestingly, my son is in grad school running some very data sensitive experiments that require no down time ... down time could cost him days and weeks. Perferred operating systems - MAC and Linux. The only problem with Linux is the hardware they run on - they use PCs for that! They have an eight core MAC desktop for the heavy duty data processing - I can only imagine what that would do with Photoshop files!!

So - let's hope for CC software native for the MAC - let's keep asking - let's keep this dialog moving. And - Thanks Gregory for getting the thread going.

As a former pc user now switching to mac. Please get the CC software ported over for a mac. I have gotten tired of dealing with microsoft and their lousy OS. Just can't wait to see how windows 7 hoses people computers.

PLEEEEEASE!!! Would love to see CC Software on my Mac. I am a Powerbook G4 (PPC) user, so I would love to see it coded for PPC and Intel. I may be asking too much for PPC though.
