You don't have anything that's 1900px wide.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

2 000 px × 600 px
Rescale it to say 1000px and let it cover 100% width. But don't have the dimensions written in the html nor css file.
In this case I would not use max-width at all.

Ok re-sized it, looks much better to me.. but it didn't fix the scrolling,
I think it's in the css somewhere I just can't find the stylesheet that covers that area.. wireframetheme is where I thought it was but I couldn't find it. I have listed somewhere 1900px width, i looked in responsive layout maker and nothing was there either.. I don't know where it is!

It must be some image holder or place holder, which the image is inside of, that is too wide. I'm looking for it, but haven't found it yet. Check the RLM layout to see if you can spot something that is much too wide.
The good thing about RLM is that you can mock up a layout quite fast, but if anything goes wrong, like this, it's a helluva job finding it.

And the bottom blue area:
(The picture is actually 2000 X 600)
<main class="coffee-span-12 content"><img src="background/middle.jpg" width="1800" height="600" alt="" border="0"></main>
Are you trying to do a fixed-width site or a responsive site? I don't get why you have a 2000px wide img, because it doesn't work for either layout???

That's awesome Inger, I think it will go nicely with the website. I'm going to re-build it soon so i'll start with this and take notes
I'll stay on this page for help ..

I searched a bit further and found your backstretch image, eagle-front.jpg, which is waaayyy too wide. I'll suggest that you skip the bulky backstretch js and insert that image as a page background image. Scale it down to about 1000px wide and set the width to 100%. When scaling down, you should also keep the proportions. That blue image with the three faces looks a bit off since the height was left as was.

Yes... Get your basic layout figured out, then you can add sliders, scripts, etc.
Most important; will it be responsive or not? Large, fixed-width images won't work in a resp. design.
I'd get rid of the big blue image. Instead, use 'background-color' for that area and 3 separate columns for the dog, mouse and turtle stuff.
