In .NET mag they are have a section about clients from hell and there's some really funny stories in there, well they not funny but in odd way

I'm sure it's me I must be rubbish with people but I could write a book on it, because I've always found that some people expect you to be a mind reader.

Anyway I thought I'd share one with you there's this lady my wife and I are friends with and she had a an E-commerce craft site needed a redo and she was quoted £1200 for, it's quite a small online shop, so she said could I help her out, but with a similar design to the old one. So I said yeah, well I didn't want to charge any money up front but I thought I could do it for quite bit less than she was quoted. Anyway I spent hours on it and it was really coming on or so I thought. This is quite a few years ago and my wife's family live down South and we went there for a week and didn't take the laptop. Anyway when I got back home this lady said she had got someone else to do her site I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She only give me a few quid for my efforts, weirdly enough we are still friends

I couldn't believe it smoke, looking back I do see the funny side

Whatever you're dealing with, someone else has dealt with it and much worse.

I had a new client, met to talk about her site, etc. on a Monday afternoon. Gave her a list of things I'd need to get started on the site. She called the next day (Tues am) to ask where her site was – she wanted to show it to some friends but couldn't find it online
Had another one call to complain he wasn't getting any interest in his site – no calls or form submissions for several months. He didn't realize changing his phone no. and email would have something to do with that

Over-all, I've been lucky
