Is anyone using Google Workspace? They are really aggressively soliciting me, it would seem that I have failed to pay them and I did not know that I had it. I think that I clicked on getting info on it and right off the bat they went for credit card info and I terminated the communications. Practices seems more like fishing and hacking rather than proper google business transactions. Guess I need to take a closer look at the actual email address their using.

I have been using Google Workspace for years and its not something you can accidently signup for. You have to go through an entire process including changing some DNS configs to get it to work properly. As for the soliciting its pretty passive in an email once in a while trying to get me to buy Google Adwords.

Other than that I think it may be a scammer trying to bully you into paying them pretending to be Google.

Well if it is a scammer they picked a good platform to mount their attack. Seems I can not do anything with google period unless if I give them my charging information. Nothing at all will happen with google until I give them my information for billing. I am not going to do that so I am going to get any customer service from google. Today when I tried to contact them about the problem they would instantly give me phone help from professionals after I give billing info and pay one dollar. So being as that is what the auto email on the workspace account is asking for its not going to happen.

I have been using the G-suite for years, do not know that it has been helpful with my SEO, to the contrary I believe in retrospect that it has severely complicated and diluted my owned domain. The free google provided site which used my domain seems to have taken attention away from my CC owned domain and site. Years ago I had a CC VSD site that I spent lots of time on the SEO and got reasonable amount of traffic and revenue from for several years but since then I have had literally no traffic to the site and seemingly impossible to attain any through google unless if I give them their extortion payments. It would seem that Google owns the internet.

This isn't about Google workspace but I today had something very similar to what Greg has experienced, from something called 'FreeConvert.com similar in so much as the email said they were unable to process the payment of 9.99$ on my MasterCard ending with the last 4 digits .

The thing is I haven't a clue who FreeConvert are, I have never ever ordered anything online or given my card details especially the card number, except for software from good old coffeecup and PayPal (who I don't use anymore and haven't for more than a year)
The thing is the last 4 digits they quoted actually match the last 4 digits on my card
I just wanted people to also be aware of something that may be going around.

Pretty scary stuff that somehow they have got my card number from somewhere even if it's only the last 4 digits .
Anyway apologies again but be careful folks.

Today I had an SMS seemingly from my bank, telling me that my debit card with the 4 last digits (and they were exactly the ones on my card) had been blocked because of some company (Frontify AG in Switzerland) wanted to be paid some amount. I had never had dealings with them, don't know what they are doing, and remembering Wayan's post above here, I took it for some phishing attempt. Then later I went shopping, and it turned out that my card was indeed being rejected! Back home I contacted my bank, and their security department had actually sent me this message, and they had blocked the card. So that left me without money and without the things I had wanted to pick up from the shop, and I will get a new card, it only takes a week...

Luckily I have an account in another bank too, so I won't be starving during that week.

Most of the time you can request complimentary express shipping for the card. At least, that is what I have always done.

It depends, I guess, on where you live. I don't have that option. In the meantime, my card has arrived, though.
