I did an upgrade and have had no problems thus far. I'm finding it to be a good cross between win7 and 8.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Does it wipe out your existing software programs when it installs?

That is optional, but I recommend a full wipe.

All of my programs have seemed to stay intact.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

When I upgraded to Win 8.1, I had to redo all my websites as things didn't survive the upgrade in one piece. Everything I read says that the upgrade to Win 10 won't affect the installed programs. I have the websites backed up but am still nervous. Should I upgrade now.........I just have to press "install" ????

When I upgraded from 8.1 to 10 I did just that; pressed 'install'. All my web projects were still there afterwards, also all my ftp connections. All the programmes I had installed worked flawlessly. In the case of CC Websight insight, I installed the latest version which had a fix for Win 10, as others also had found out, and everything worked.

Eventually I will be in the strange position of updating a Win 8.1 virtual machine (running on Ubuntu Linux) to Win 10. I'll report any odd behavior I may encounter.

My biggest issue updating to Win10 was I had to update my video and sound drivers.

Mac OS X - I don't give two hoots about Windows 10.

Downgraded back to 8.1 on wife's Windows laptop as her Digitisr software doesn't work which she uses for designing patchwork quilts and changing embroidery patterns

Cannot believe they kept those hideous tiles in Windows 10. Dreadful
