Windows 10 has tiles?
Thinks: OK I won't upgrade, unless there's a way of removing them and going to the classic "wallpaper + icons" desktop.
I bought a cheap Windows 8 phone to use as a backup to my Android device, and to have a quick peek at Windows 8 - I didn't like W8 at all.

The tiles are there but not by default. The main screen looks very similar to Windows 7.

Ah, good.
My W7 desktop wallpaper is titled boxes where I group my icons for quick access - I prefer this to a menu list.
