It is not hard to conceptualize when it is the truth you seek, grasshopper. Open eyes and close mouth. Free your mind and your arse will follow. Peace be unto you.

Sounds fine to me. Let me be the first to chime in.

On the one hand I am a web developer, on the other hand I am a philosopher and poet. What makes me happy is what I do, its who I am, they are interchangable. I reject the premise that technology cannot be a place for happiness. I have found more happiness, with respect to the forums, than I have in some of my OTHER relationships. I find it just as fulfilling to complete a website (to me a work of art), as I do completing a poem.

With that said, I also reject the premise that technology is fantasy. By fantasy I think you are referring to the unreal. I also think you might be contrasting that with the real (or human relationships). Although I think it is laudable to look at the two - I do not think a delineation can simply be technology > unreal > fantasy.

I believe your intent (I could be wrong), is to help those with technology addictions, which means - technology that interferes with ones standard of living. I know my time on the forums is spent investing in myself as much as it is investing in others. I have learned much from postings from others.

If I am off the mark please let me know, its an interesting topic. :/
The philosopher has not done philosophy until he has acted upon the mere conviction of his idea; for proof of the theory is in the act, not the idea.

It is rare for me to burst out laughing - here in my solitude in front of the screen - but this one did it for me!

Not to mention how strangely prescient it turned out to be...

By that, Tom means the truth. Sometimes he needs interpretation. You know how the homeless mumble and stuff sometimes.

By this Tom is not trying to be a philosopher. He is merely pretending to, when he uses words like conceptualization and truth.

Actually Tom doesn't pretend to be anything but Tom. No fancy designer working out of my garage, no fancy web host with a large data center when I am truthfully nothing more than a reseller getting a piece of the pie - Nope, just Tom. I conceptualize very well truth be told, thank you very much.

Wow Eric, I visited your personal website and I must say I am afraid of you. You are obviously quite intelligent, assuming you haven't plagiarized someone else’s work.

I have to admit that I didn’t understand some of it, wasn’t interested in most of it, and was afraid to pursue it in its entirety for fear that it would activate some gene or another. :D

Oh, and don't assume the guy in the avatar is homeless. He may very well make more money in a year than any of us in this forum.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
