Is anyone using the latest version of...

I went to download it yesterday and it said that the IE tab wasn't compatible with the new version so I decided not to as I use the IE tab a lot to check websites and for the occasional site that won't display in FF.

So does anyone else use Fire Fox's IE tab addon and if so have you found a satisfactory alternative for the latest version?

I have seen a couple but the reviews are not that good.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

I use FF 3.6 and haven't found an IE rendering addon that works with it so far either, I just load up IE8 now instead and call it good :)

Hmmm ...so how do you test in IE7 if you have IE8 installed?

I am of the thinking that IE7 will probably have more glitches so sticking with that just for testing purposes. ...or does IE8 have problems too?

you can't test in ie7 with ie8 installed. I "was" using browsershots but recently discovered it's totally bonkers and returns some really incorrect information so I just stopped using that, I'm gonna do some searching this week to see if I can find a better site for tests similar to that one.

Scott posted a reply to a query of mine a few days ago, he gave me a link to a program to allow running more than one version of IE - I'll go looking for it shortly.

I am using the program "IETester", which includes versions 5, 6, 7 and 8. I don't have a link for them handy right now, but you can Google IETester.

How are you finding that Per? Does it work well?

Thanks zipper...I had a quick look but it only seems to go up to IE6 ...is that right?

I haven't been using it all that much but it seems work very well. At least it has served its purpose for me.
You can choose which one of IE versions 5.5, 6, 7 or 8 you want to use, or you can specify "all" and it will open a tab each for those versions - all with the URL you have specified.
