It is strange that you are getting overlapping problems. I have the identical set up to you, XP, IE6, same resolution. I have checked the site with IE, Firefox, & Opera. It displays properly in all 3 browsers. If you can determine what the problem you are experiencing is, I would greatly appreciate it. If you are experiencing a problem, then there are likely others experiencing the same problem. Thanks for taking the time to look at the sites and respond.
I want to thank you again for your input. I altered the site and that will hopefully help. The area with the Tahoma font was changed to Arial. I thought that was a rather large area to make into an image. Hopefully that helps. The area with the Signature font was changed into an image. I tried it as a gif but it was not a very good quality, so I changed it to jpeg. It appears to be OK on my machine, but your input on the changes would be appreciated. Thanks
This is the first web page I ever did
www.rexchimes.com
and it was originaly done in front page editor. The site is two years old and has had very little change since its birth. Since then i have learned a bit of html and css and learned how to use all sorts of java snippets etc, and I mostly only use wysiwyg for helping me understand what my tags are supposed to look like.
I did this site originaly for free,
www.windsorfarmersmarket.com
and have been paid maintenance for it for the last two years. As well as getting a laptop as a gift from the market manager last year. Last week I downloaded the flashfirestarter trial and did a quick (2 hours of image editing and learning firestarter) example to show the market manager and now she is buying me the webmaster super pack as a bonus for this last year of work.
I know if you look at the code in the farmers market pages you will see a lot of slopp ,,,,, I intend to clean it up and possibly totaly build from scratch before spring.
Looking forward to joining in some of the topics in the near futue.

(in case this does not show up in this message board I put it on the following page... www.rexchimes.com/jake.html)
the above gif was done with gimp. I am totally a gimp fan, and have used it for at least three years now. I may have a few tricks for you Jake!
I worked with corel draw 5 or more years ago with a company that bought in to corel back with version 5. I worked with V7 for a couple years befor moving. Corel Draw is totally awesome, and I wish my budget allowed it, in the mean time I use gimp. Now I will go try 'ACDSee 8' and see what I think (I like the price)
I have only just begun to explore flashfire and already have sent suggestions to the CC folks on some additional features. "If only I could design programs as easily as I design with stainless steel"

I currently maintain three (soon to be four) sites. Two are for the group Scottish-American Military Society that I'm a member of and the third is for the Celtic Society located here in Puget Sound area.
Domain: www.s-a-m-s.org
Name: Scottish-American Military Soceity
Domain: www.s-a-m-s-wa.org
Name: Scottish-American Military Soceity - Washington State
Domain: www.cssps.org
Name: Celtic Society of South Puget Sound
Description: S.A.M.S. is a non-profit organization of former and current members of our armed forces. We provide Honor Guards and Color Guards for many occaisions, especially at the Scottish Highland Games.
The Celtic Society of South Puget Sound is a non-profit group that brings together all persons of Celtic/Gaelic descent.
Tools Used: CoffeeCup HTML, CoffeeCup Calendar, CoffeeCup Album, WestCiv StyleMaster CSS editor, PaintShop Pro, Xara Xtreme, Gimp
Author.Team: Just me, myself and I
The fourth site is my family ancestry site which currently resides on Yahoo/Geocities. The URL is: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/3506/ and if you visit there you'll see why I need to move it. I use CoffeeCup HTML to maintain the pages but have to use Yahoo's copy facility to move them to the site. I'm currently working on extending the site to include my own information like my bagpiping.

Thanks, it has been thru a few changes and now that I have the full toolkit from coffeecup I will include video and better menu buttons. I am also playing with live chat, but cant get it working yet but I'm sure I will. I have an issue with some of my generic "home" and "Back" buttons. It doesnt always take you to the right page. Check back in a couple of weeks. I should have the new version up.

Russ

I had to start learn xhtml and .css and to work without tables.
Have to tell you that I purchased a template with .css for about 28 euros.
Then started to work with it and changing things.
I Think it´s more easy to learn, when you have something to play with. If you i.e. should start to build a house, I believe that you would not start the project in the forest.
The "biggest" thing for me was to get the ordinary flash and news code to be validated xhtml. So I change them to look like this (you see in the code).
What do you think Mike?
