Hey everyone. I've been using Coffeecup software for a while now and love the company. Just thought I'd share some of my sites that I've designed.

OK, I launched my first major site today. This is a replacement site for one that was built for me using Cold Fusion as a Content Manager and is difficult for me to maintain.

I am still working on some items, metatags, etc. I think I may need to optimize some graphics too. But there it is... done completely in VSD, CC Flash Menu, and Firestarter.

Nice site Scott

Mucho thanks to Paul and John!

I still have so much to learn... at least CC makes it fun and doable for us all.

ohhh, and I did successfully add the Web Video viewer after i posted the site. It seems to work well too.
All my best,

Let me add my kudos, very nice layout! I'm still mucking about trying to come up with a vision for my own site overhaul. :P

Yes I've recently used the video player, works very well. Created a small website for a friend who has a casting agency. I use the search facility from Coffee Cup, the video and audio player, eg for this actor...

You can see i've used the video/audio player and also the Coffee Cup gallery. The tools have proved ideal for this type of website. Previous to this the old version of the site had just text and no video/audio/gallery !

The websites still a work in progress, however so far its proved very popular for the company as many more people are joining them !

(By the way Scott hope you dont mind but I've emailed you about a short demo!)

Hmmmmmmmm ........... could be, but perhaps ninei nakar would like to come back in and tell us a bit more about how he built his site.

A note to all.
I suggest that some of you go a little more sparingly with some of your flash content. Used carefully it can be incredibly effective and attractive. When used excessively it can be annoying and very slow loading for those who have slower internet connections. The real problem seems to arise when there are several flash objects embedded in one page. This has nothing to do with the quality or functioning of CC software, but is just a fact of life due to the variability of "user-land".
I know that slow connections are less of an issue these days, but still worth bearing in mind when you plan your site. The secret is probably not trying to get your flash object to do too much all at once. Keep it simple and the download size will be reduced. Two small (in digital weight) fast loading flash objects are often preferable to one "heavy" one. So experiment with the optimization also.
My comment is generic and I will say that I have seen some super sites in here....... with and without flash content. Congratulations to all those who are just starting out and getting such great results.

I hardly ever use any of the web building programs other than the Coffee Cup Direct FTP
I Just write code right in the edit box. And upload and check my work, then edit / upload then check again.

I still love all the tools, I ocasionally use the Web Calendar or the Web Form Builder, or even the Web Video Player .

But I have to say the one tool I use every day, several times a day is the Coffee Cup Lockbox. I build pages for a lot of folks an that tool is indespensable.

Well my latest project using only Direct FTP and Photo Shop ( i only modified some of the artwork ) is www.winecountryhotrodtours.com
The site is just up and I'm sure I will find more errors than I already know about (like the internal links on the specs page not working in Firefox)

I hope to also go back into the pages and redo all of the image links that look like text using Website Font (if I have time)

I also agree with the last post on the flash overkill i say this knowing that the last site I just built was rather heavy with graphics which can also be slow to load.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.

I think people are being a bit too kind towards the spammers.

If you do look at 'ninei nakar''s website its one of the usual type of spam websites you get with lots of links. These sorts of pages are often seen if you mistype a website name and then one similar to this appears.

'He' posts just any old rubbish just to get his link displayed. Seems to have been a few of these lately on the forum. Another forum I go onto is getting several of these types of new 'spammers' who post any old rubbish just to give a link to their dodgy dvd site etc.

I see that here he has only 2 posts listed, so if you know of others, please let me know and I will take a decision on this (if someone else doesn't get in here to do it before me of course!) I do agree that his other post does seem totally out of context.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
