Have they fixed their server security at root level. I had a friend hosting with them and his site kept getting hacked. They of course, blamed the scripts.

I had him switch hosts and the hacking stopped immediately. So I guess it wasn't the scripts, huh?

I am new to the domain and hosting world, but after looking at various hosting companies I went with Netfirms as with a business package you get 5 free domains for life as long as you stay with them.

unless they go out of business of course.

yes, so hopefully that doesn't happpen! lol That is kinda one reason why I decided to purchase the coffeecup software instead of using the online software that comes with the hosting sites as if I ever decide to go to a different host I wont have to redo the whole site.

It has been awhile since anyone put in their two cents worth on this subject so I thought I would bump the thread.

I am in the process of trying to pick the right web hosting company. There is way too much to choose from. Who is good, who is bad, who is going to rip you off??? Many years ago I used ipower.com who I think is now ipage.com. They were really bad back then so I know I will stay away from them (probably why they changed their name).

Who are you with? And I think it would be nice to just make this like a poll, no comments, just who do you think is the best. Then a person could add up the averages and maybe make a choice that way. Or at least narrow it down to 2 or 3 and then research those to see which one best fits your needs.
