ianinfrance, if you go to the site in my signature, I have a file hosting script setup. Nothing fancy, but you could upload the pdf there to share with other CC users. The file should be less than 10MB. If it's larger let me know and I'll make some changes. You're right! I think we're of one mind!! :D

I agree that I'd like a 'hard copy'. CC used to put out pdfs of all their programs but they kept upgrading the programs and upgrades used to be free. It just got to be to much to keep upgrading the pdfs and then thousands of users would download them. Ate up the bandwidth I think. So they went to the online option. Can't really blame them considering . . .

Hi guys,

I am probably in a minority of one (well a half actually, because I can't make up my mind what's most useful) but the great problem with on-line tutorials is that they're online and ephemeral. I find I work best with hard copy - or at least the screen equivalent thereof, with proper indices and glossaries and all that sort of stuff. I have a sneaking suspicion that Gunsmoke might have half a mind to join me, so that will make us a minority of one.

By the way, I did manage to make a pdf of the rows and columns part of the quick intro, and would have uploaded it were it not too big.

Harrumph.

Steve, I wondered where my OH had caught hers. Bad luck. Get better soon.

I do like video tuts I must admit, I guess that's why I make them as I am a very visual person, however I do get your point, I have never liked tuts online with text, I find that so hard to get going and I've never bought an E-book, I love to hold something :P

I have a 9" Nook. Love to read on it while I'm on the road.
If you have the 7" then you just have a little nookie! :D

Couldn't resist. Sorry. Drugs you know. (I'm blaming everything on those...)

... reading on the road is not a good idea

You missed the part where I train drivers! I don't drive unless they mess up. Most of my day is just riding along and pointing out all their bad habits! (I actually get paid extra for this!)
