You're in the wrong class, Matt. You have to understand all the basics of html and css before you launch into the heavy stuff. If I were you, I would see if it is possible to swap classes, and then get back to the programming stuff later.
I'm self taught from the ground up as regards html and css, and I have some grasp on php, mySQL and js, but none at all on c++.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Yeah that's what I was saying earlier too, either that school got you all messed up and thought you were more versed than you are in languages, or you chose your classes yourself? Either way, they aren't in the right order and you're going to be over your head very quickly if you start these without the basics under your belt first.

I tried.. my counselor told me this is a "weed out" class to see if I really belong to the University, when I told him it was far more advanced than I, especially in math and other things, he just said thats why he called it a "weed out" class. I was like man, this is going to make or break me here.. I don't even want to learn how to program .. or whatever :(

Sounds like your counselor needs a swift kick in the arse. Go talk with a different counselor or talk to the Admissions area and tell them you want a new counselor and that you need someone to readjust your schedule of your entire curriculum to get things in the correct order of what is needed first. That counselor needs to be fired!

Ok i'll give them a call and find out what can be done to salvage my week's worth of homework I got done lol. I don't want to be in this class right now but it's as follows .. class 205 to 210 and such.. but the thing is if I can do this and learn a little bit it would be worth it. I don't know guys i'm going both ways, i've already studied so much and am writing a little bit.. i'm stumped on this piece of code right here though.. http://youtu.be/Qv4OTe2Y7No

Matt, not to keep repeating myself, but the forums here are not a place to ask for help with your homework, that's what you have class mates and instructors for and if you get everyone doing your homework here as they've been doing on your websites you will not learn a thing.

I agree with Inger. Learn html and Css. You can pick up scripts from the internet. To learn a programming language first you have to have a goal. html and css are languages using the browser as the interpreter.
Before you tackle C++ consider php as that is a C style language and is similar to JavaScript.
I just did a quick search and there are so many free tutorials on just about anything. But if you wish to follow the path you are on. Study, read notes you should make and make an effort to understand all parts of a statement and why those parts are included. The internet is your new best friend. not this forum.

Ahh! Matt I am getting the feeling you are tackling too many things at once. Believe me I have gone down that path and it can be as frustrating as hell. Chemical reactions was one of my stumbling blocks, it took forever for even simple examples made any sense at all. I had to get a grade in that for my Elecro Mechanical qualifications. I definitely know where you are coming from. But do your study and state clearly what has you stumped and then post, we still may remember some of that stuff.
