Hello Gang:
Who created the slick graphics that are currently featured on www.coffeecup.com?
The ones that show the boxes opening and the software floating out to represent software 'packs'?
They are really good. They convey a lot without getting muddy with details. They use shading to create a sense of depth. They just pop.
Who did them?
With what software?
How?
curious me
bye

No clue Eric, and doesn't look like they talkin', you might have to torture em to get em to talk lol
I think it might be one of those trade secrets ...where if they tell you, they have to....well you know what
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.
Hi Eric, I'd suspect they were done by Coffee Cup's hip young Argentinian graphic designer, Juan Manuel Guillemi Diaz? If so, in his bio on the About Me page, it says he works on 'one of those huge illustration pads on his desk".
If I never post again, you'll know that both I and tassie were right.

You're close, Steven. They were created by our hip young Spanish graphic designer, Diego. As for how, he even won't tell us. He does keep a six-pack of Red Bull and a mound of Pantone color charts on his desk though.
he is good and smart

hee hee, well this has been fun. ;-)
Jo Ann, I've been meaning to tell you I get a kick out of your animated profile picture.
And, tassietiger, somehow I get the feeling your animated image does a better job of capturing you than an actual photo? I dunno but I thought it was very clever. (and cute. aww....)
As for my original question? Well, it is kind of impossible to answer. I think it is like asking a baker how he decorated the cake or the surgeon how to do stitches. It comes from training and practice.
Frankly, I never expected a graphic designer to be so shy. Usually the are the loudest (in clothes and sounds) one in the room. <BG> Well, I've stirred the pot enough. Back to work for me.
bye all
Thanks for the fun thread.
(You know, that is what I miss from newsgroups versus web based message boards, the threaded hierachy that allowed on to post replies to individual posts.)
