  • Bio: I first learned how to develop a website back in 1999, when my employer sent me to learn Frontpage 98.
Since than, I had moved unto Dreamweaver, which I still have on my computer (CS4).
About 4yrs ago, I decided to get more efficient in my coding, so I did everything manually, strictly using text editors such as Notepad++, PSPad.

Since I also work with PHP and Java Scripts, I moved on to IDE (tried many of them) and have settled on CodeLobster PHP Edition (free). In my opinion, this is the best IDE I have ever used.
I also use CodeLobster for my HTML/CSS coding.

Recently, I had to teach some novices HTML & CSS, and needed a good WYSIWYG HTML editor.
The only WYSIWYG HTML editor I had was Adobe Dreamweaver - which is a very powerful program.
The negative - this is a very expensive software for a student to purchase.

I remember purchasing Coffeecup HTML editor some years ago for evaluation purposes, and decided to give it a try again. I forgot that my purchase was lifetime, and downloaded the latest version.
To my surprise, it is a very efficient software, and has come a long way since my 1st try a few years ago.
In addition, the code only view is very solid, has the majority of the tools and features that I would like to see in a good Code HTML editor.

This program that is very capable and most important, affordable.
    Thank you.
