Problem publishing calendar

I have updated the calendar in the Web Calendar program and the changes have been saved and are there. I then saved, clicked yes to replace the file, clicked copy to clipboard and then upload now. I highlighted our website and clicked the connect button. I then clicked upload files here and closed the server window and calendar software. It did not update the website.

Our IT support company said the host name is correct as well as the host IP address. Any suggestions?

Updating the calendar and updating the website are two different things. You did the right process by using the built in publish feature of the software however it will spit out a piece of html code for you to add to the page that the calendar is on. If you replace the code on that page with the new code after the updates it should work for you.

Hope this makes sense.

I guess I need help with that task, then. How do I get the code replaced on the page where the calendar should go?

How did you create your web page? HTML Editor? Visual Site Designer? Or did someone else do it for you?

Can you provide a link to your website so we can see the code? If you created your website in VSD then just go back to the page where you inserted your html box with the code of the calendar and put the new code in that same box. Make sure you delete the old code first.

Bingo! Easy peasy in VSD.

However, I do not 'add files' from the calendar to VSD.
I upload the files themselves, then as Steve says, just add the code to VSD and you're done.

If you used the Calendar program to publish the files then you're half way there.
Bring your VSD site up in VSD and go to the page you want the calendar on.
Double click the HTML box where the calendar currently is.
Make sure you put in the BODY html and the HEADER html.
Then publish your VSD site and you should be all set.

Let us know if you still have trouble.

It is actually an Intranet site and I'm not sure I can get you into it. Do you have the ability to access my computer remotely (with one-time permission)?

When I'm in VSD and look at the page where the code is inserted, it says (all over the box) "Click preview to see this object". I believe that's where the code would go, isn't it?

For several reasons (mainly our IT person was too busy to address the problems for over a year) we had problems updating the website. Those issues seem to be resolved now and I can update links and change information, but the calendar is a problem. These instructions he created and left me had previously updated the calendar.

I just got another response from Gunsmoke and he gave me a suggestion. I will work on it next week and see if I can get this problem resolved. I know it has to be something simple, so I'll work with it a bit to see if I can figure it out.

Thanks!
