I built a contact form with Coffecup Webform Builder Version 2.10 Build 5575.

The e-mail sent reads for example:



I tried a different template and a similar e-mail was sent on my next test email.

The logged .csv looked fine.
The confirm page shows everything fine too.

I am looking at the mailer.cls.php page. I think I am looking in the right place. The issue should be connected to the subject.

I may figure this out myself but, I could use some help from you all if someone knows how to fix it.

One thing I am doing here also is if someone else has the same issue then an answer could be provided here.

I forgot to mention that if I sent the submitted form to the email that of the user that sent the form it sent a similar message.

I didn't any difference in the mailer.cls.php when I compared and older copy of one I used in the past that worked correctly.

I am guessing the coding for sending e-mail is just outdated. I tried using an old form project that I did a lot of testing with in the past a year or two ago and it too is sending me similar emails.

The e-mails probably need to be formatted differently when they send. Are there any updates for this?

I downgraded my PHP Version from 8.2 to 7.4 and now the e-mails are coming out okay now.

Are there any code updates for PHP Version 8.2?

The WFB version 2.20 that was launched in May this year should cover PHP 8.x

Thanks for letting me know. I just checked and it's $149 for me to renew - $30 for a discount. It's a little pricet to renew to get an upgrade that may still have outdated coding on it. The version I had had the form copyright dating back to 2012.

Can you or someone else here in the Coffecup Forum switch up to PHP 8.2 and let us know here if Webform Version 2.20 works with PHP 8.2?

If it doesn't work right, then we can work on upgrading the php coding to work right?

All the forms I have on all the projects I do using the latest version work without any issues (except sometimes my errors in customising them a little bit ) In fact I have just today updated my hosting servers to PHP v 8.3 on all my domains, but not yet had time to check then out,

I am still going to try to figure out why my old version failed with php 8.2 selected. I am thinking I need to upgrade some coding in the mailer.cls.php page. I confirm page and the saved .csv seemed to work fine. It's just the mailer that didn't seem to convert the sent code correctly. I don't see the point in paying $130 to upgrade to only a .1 version change just so, the mailer works right in PHP 8.2. Upgrades don't happen enough to pay that kind of money that only allows upgrades for one year when there are hardly any upgrades. 6 months have passed by and there is only one upgrade that you mentioned.

Should this thread actually be in the CC Web Form Builder, I think Inger's reply and to my previous replies as to the latest version etc applies to Web Form Builder

It's strange because the offer I got to upgrade to is:
Upgrade to version v2.20

The version I have is v2.21 and I had Gemini AI check out a couple of the code functions like function _SendPHP ( ) and Gemini AI warned me that there was a couple of issues with the code that I shared with it, that I won't mention here. I need to find out if the changes have been made in more current versions before even thinking about upgrading to it.

You are using Web Form Builder NOT COFFEE CUP's Form DESIGNER they are 2 different applications from Coffee Cup

With Web form Builder (or Site Designer's built in form elements) you can write your own php for validating and sending the form it doesn't matter or rely on PHP 8+
