(sigh) I just can't seem work with this program. This is the 3rd form I'm having problems with on the hosting side, I can create the forms but they wont work after publishing, Here's the error message:
Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for stephanniscott@comcast.net in D:\Hosting\2951060\html\shop\scott_form\fbapp\php\mailer.cls.php on line 240

Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for jamesrook@verizon.net in D:\Hosting\2951060\html\shop\scott_form\fbapp\php\mailer.cls.php on line 240

Your form could not be submitted for the following reason(s):
Failed to send an email to "stephanniscott@comcast.net".
Failed to send an email to "jamesrook@verizon.net".

The form is at: http://www.stephanniscott.com/shop/New_Contact_Form.php
I have checked on the server and I believe the permissions for the storage folders are set the read, and write. Any ideas?

I think it has something to do with GoDaddy restricting things. They do that for spam. Do you get free email address with your hosting account? If you do, try creating an email account with them for your domain name. Then replace the from address to that email address and see if it goes?

If it takes care of the problem with Failed to send an email to "stephanniscott@comcast.net" error, then that might be the problem.

I search the internet for that specific error and it all seems to point to GoDaddy restriction. It might be a good place to start.

let us know what happens, so we know what to look for if it fails or works.

Kim :)

Please see http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … m-builder/

I even have a script on that page configured just for Godaddy.

Also, if you are doing csv logging or mysql, you have to change the permissions on the storage folder to READ/WRITE/INHERIT through the hosting control panel.

Since I'm at my real job I'll have to follow up on most of this later but- I'm useing a FB classic form on her web site with no problems. Sends form results fine. Yes she does have free email with this account and it works with no problem otherwise. I'll look into the permissions again - I believe they are set to READ/WRITE but not sure about INHERIT

Took an early lunch and went to my clients GoDaddy account. The permissions are set to Read/Write/Inherit. I think the issue may be that she has a windows account, not Linux but I don't know.

Okay, home from a long long day fixing busted police cars. Scott, I should have added "if that's the problem" to "I think the issue may be that she has a windows account, not Linux but I don't know." Her hosting info is clear about that. Now, what do I do? I tried copying the GoDaddy script you linked to and uploading it as user.cfg.php but it the form just returned the script verbatum as an error. I've checked the permissions. If Scott wants to take a look I can open a trouble ticket again.

I think I need to start getting commissions for fixing all your forms soon. ;)

I bet you hosed the user.cfg.php file simply by copy and pasting. That is not the entire script. It is only a partial script showing you what you need to change. You should be editing that file directly on the server so that the file is not corrupted.
