WFB working with PHP 8? - Page 2 -...

My webserver runs PHP 8.1.16 and forms created with webform version 2.10 Build 5575 works. The only issue that I have noticed is that the date format (for the built-in date selection) does not allow entries in the date format dd.mm.yyyy

So if you download the latest version of WFB (v 2.10 that was released a few weeks ago) and save your forms then you should be OK under PHP 8 (I have tested with PHP 8.1.14 and 8.1.16) and the forms have been on a public website for a few weeks.

Hi Eric,

I received a response from my hosting service. They said that, due to recent changes at Google and others, all SMTP mail must now be authenticated and that's why the mail is being rejected.

Here is a link they gave me to solve the problem:
https://www.webhostinghub.com/help/learn/email/email-from-web-page/using-phpmailer-to-send-mail

I have no idea if this information is on the right track to solving the problem. If you could take a look at it I would really appreciate it.

Thanks very much.

That info is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard

What you really need ask them is what version of PHP are they using, and or do they have choices (as long as above PHP 7.5

My hosting service (indonesian based) runs with CloudLinux PHP 8.2 and forms created with webform version 2.10 Build 5575 work. But it took me 3 days to fiddle about with settings etc for WFB embedded onto a page, BUT I GOT IT in the end

If I change the PHP thingy to be controlled by CPanel it works to a point, but the notification emails don't format correctly.

Hi Wayan,

I just emailed you regarding the results. One form result was formatted perfectly and looked great. The last one that came only showed the html code, etc.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi,
I'm having a similar issue with the following error message:
Your form could not be submitted for the following reason(s):
Error validating RegEx magic field: invalid range in character class at offset 4

On the form found at the following page:

Could anyone assist with some advice?
