I know in the old version there use to be a spot where I could select what order the cursor would go to when you pressed the tab button. I have not been able to find it in this one. I need the tab button to go down a list rather then left, right. Where is the option for this?

There is no longer any need for a Tab order as the it is all handled automatically now. The natural flow is left to right and then top to bottom.

Well that sucks. Left to right doesn't "naturally flow from left to right and then top to bottom" on my form. So much for going down a column, and to the top of another. Would be a nice feature to have added to have that option again. Thanks for adding a few dozen hours to my work load coffee cup.

Hiya John,

You're asking for a strange thing there. Most all forms whether website forms, program forms, surveys, etc. all go left to right, top to bottom. Never have I run into a form before that didn't (other than maybe mine when I first used the flash CC program hehe). If you do it the way it's setup for, that's what people will expect to see.

Yes I'm assuming that's the tab order when you hit the tab key and it changes the focus of which field is focused, basically tabs through the fields. That used to be a big issue a while back with the flash version, but then we had the ability to change the tab order to whatever we wanted by rearranging the order of the fields in the setup. This basically fixed it for us so it . In the end though, the main tab order is almost always left to right, top to bottom when filling out forms.

Ok, I don't see the big deal really. The tab order works great for me. I naturally set my forms so that a field on the left of a two column is related to any on the right of it. The ones right of this one are more detailed questions for a yes or no. If it's one thing you don't want to do is steer away from standard practices that are done in every aspect of writing communication all over the world.:) Especially on a webform.

For what it's worth I agree with John. When faced with a multi column form I think it's entirely intuitive to work down one column and then go to the top of the next, not go from left to right across the columns.

The fact that I can no longer create a form that does this has meant I've ended up with a form that's messy and doesn't work nearly as well as the previous one created with the flash version. For example, the verify email field is placed underneath the email field however you lay out the form, meaning you end up with a double height box in the middle of a form of otherwise single height fields. Not good.
