This is no way affects CC software, it's a different tool altogether, it's in fact a graphics tool, which is absolute cake to use. There is no learning curve, it's a case of picking a gradient and letting the tool take care of the rest. You can get fantastic backgrounds with it, desktop or otherwise, but for some web designs there is nothing better that I've come across. It's called Amberlight by Escapemotions

I do the video tutorials for Escape Motions company but I do not in no way gain anything by promoting their software, it's just it's fantastic for web design and I use it a lot.
