Thank you Eric,
I have done the "html/css tricks" thing, thanks for the link. It doesn't seem to have made a lot of difference, although I am only mimicking the table/mobile sizes by dragging my PC screen over. Probably the best I can do is upload the site and test it on those devices proper. :)

It should adjust by dragging the screen corner.:)

Good morning from UK
I just updated my own site at http://www.ajswebdesign.com and it contains a small video.
Following on from previous posts, I used EASY HTML5 VIDEO and rendered an MP4 / WEBM and OGG version(s) - all uploaded and working in browsers EXCEPT good old IE, I then went for a Flash fallback. I had heard that I could generate some JS at http://www.osmf.org/configurator/fmp
The code went into the page, but still nothing shows in IE (any version)
Does anyone know of an alternative method? PLEASE?

Hiya Tony,

I don't know the direct answer here, but I did find some interesting articles/posts when I did a google search on it. Maybe a few of these might help and I also posted the actual search link in case there is more info there you'd like to persue. Good luck on it!

Hi Jo Ann
Thanks I read a lot of this and even tried some out, it's weird, my video is not playing in any version of IE although I attempted to add Flash. I'ts really strange because Microsoft claim that version 9+ support html5 video anyway :(:(

Hi Tony,
I to have EasyHTML5 although I haven't used it yet, but was wondering this. In FF I checked the source code and saw a couple errors. could this be why it's not showing in IE? see attached....:|

Tony,

I noticed that your video for the mp4 option (which is the only format supported by IE9) uses the file extension .m4v rather than .mp4. My thought was that maybe for it to work on IE9, the file extension actually needs to be .mp4 ?
If I were you, I'd first try to simply change the file extension from .m4v to .mp4 and see if it works. The two formats are very similar and .m4v is basically the Apple version of .mp4. If it doesn't work that way, just convert the .m4v to a *.mp4 file.
You may want to take a look at this link for some general info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M4V

Thank you Per, Well spotted, but I had already suspected the problem. I have changed the m4v to mp4 extension and it made no difference. Then I changed it back to m4v and ADDED a new mp4 file in Photoshop Premier Elements, specifically for the H264 format, for IE - still no good on any IE version, and I today downloaded IE10. Its ver strange and irritating as IE users are still vout there.
I am please that it flys fine on iPad and iPhone - something went right.
However thanks for the thought
Tony:)

Tony,

The link to your mp4 file is now an s-drive dead end... (see attached screenshot)

I am pretty convinced that a true mp4 video file (with the .mp4 extension) will work. Did you try to make a 'good' conversion from one of your other (working-) formats to mp4 and upload that?
