Does anyone have code to make pictures on a website scroll from left to right?
Have a website where we'd like to scroll the images left/right depending upon if we hit a left or right arrow....

Initially there will be a link that is something like "Click Here for Pictures" and then once the user clicks, a larger pic will fill the frame with small thumbnails below that larger pic and a left/right arrow on each side of the thumbnal so a person can manually scroll through them.

Photo Gallery did it ... never had used that before, but was in my pack so I tried it and it worked just fine.

Thank you!

Do keep in mind that although Photo Gallery does work great, still one of my favs, but it doesn't show up on Apple devices (seeing how frustrating that can be lately as I just got an iPad lol). Anyways, thought I'd throw that in there in case you weren't aware of it and in case it made a difference. If it doesn't matter, than good luck with it! :)

I would suggest you use jQuery for this.

It is very easy to add one line in the HEAD section of any HTML file to include the library.
You then need to add another line to load the image scroller ... or content slider, as they are referred to.

I have gone to the effort of copying a couple of free repositories where you can download two very simple jQuery image sliders. These come complete with install instructions, etc.

https://github.com/siamcomm/cycle2 - Very simple and my favorite
https://github.com/siamcomm/codaslider - More complex but with more features

Enjoy!

Our S-Drive service offers a cool new feature called Albums. With this feature you can upload your gallery from our program Photo Gallery to S-Drive or create new albums right from your S-Drive dashboard. Once they are uploaded to S-Drive you can copy of the HTML embed code and paste it into your website. This will display the gallery as HTML (not Flash) so that it can be viewed from mobile devices such as an iphone or ipad. You do have to have a paid account to accomplish this.

Hope this helps!
