the thing is I don't know how to change the title of the shop pages. I use Shopping cart creator and I don't think there is an option to change the title for shop pages is there?

Is it basic or Pro that you have

basic but will get pro soon hopefully

Pro will allow you to do an awful lot more than basic, editing keywords and titles for each product you list being a big improvement.

Also you will be able head each category and set keywords for those as well.

Basic program is fine for selling basic stuff, but not for a serious seller

you cant do that in SCC Basic and i doubt you would do it with most other shopping carts that are relitively inexpensive !!!!!

SCCP is worth its weight in gold "scuse the pun" but bare in mind i have spent hundreds of hours working on my shop, it did not happen over night.

took about a year to get it really taking money, just had my best internet sales 12 months in 6 years and its all down to SCCP

Wow, yes I see it is the first one on google. Let me ask you, if I buy the scc pro can I import my store from the regular version easily?

You dont have to do anything apart from open the old shop in the new program, though i would advise first making a back up,

second when you open in SCCP re name it (ie) do a save as and call it something relevant

In an ideal world try to give google a nice clean relevance to everything.

My website is in a dectop folder called deloreanjewellery

inside that is a folder with all my pictures in called signet ring pictures

inside that is a folder for each type of signet ring : silver oval 16mm x 13mm etc etc etc

each photo is named relevant : sterling silver cushion shape signet ring

when you add pictures to both your SCCP or VSD they are all neatly labeled and sorted just like an old fashioned index drawer.

Treat your website in a similar fashion and then google will see it all organised and labeled so it is all relevant.

And another thing, where is it hosted, I could get shot down in flames, but hosting can have an adverse effect as well, just noticed your https, somewhat un necessary

3ix and the https: I know it is not necessary but I sell very expensive items and I just want to give my customers a sense of trust that they can make transactions safely without any problems and from a trusted source and not someone who just made a site to rip people off. I downloaded the trial version of the pro but was wondering that maybe I would have to do my theme all over again for the pro version in scd pro.

Download the trial version of SCDP, i think you can open the basic design in it and then save it to work in sccp without purchasing it. oops Scott just repairs that loophole. (BACK UP FIRST ANYWAY)

Personally i would only have the shop in https if your collecting data.

I doubt many people will buy from a google search without a personal call first, most of my under £100.00 orders no contact first, orders over £150.00 most phone and check i am real, not a robot.

I often sell £500.00 plus items, and they pay securely with Paypal or direct bank transfer.

just suspect https might not help ranking ???? someone more technical can help on that subject no doubt
