In a thread I answered questions of a Coffeecup user how to convert a Powerpoint Presentation to Flash using Open Office, so the PP can be easily integrated into a website. But I found a much more interesting tool, a printer driver that converts ANYTHING that can be printed into a Flash file here:

http://print2flash.com/download.php

And it's free! It works just like the many print to PDF softwares that you can find on the web, and even a little bit better: it can make a HTML page for you too...

Browser window dimensions

Firefox addons.
Lots of useful addons available through Firefox, and the one which has to be my favourite is the Web Developers toolbar. If you check out the RESIZE option (see my attached screenshot) you can opt to have the window dimensions on view in the title bar. It helps to see what space is taken up by the various areas of the average browser and what space remains for the actual web page viewing.

Cool Cube-like 3D Slideshow Display

I just got an email from http://cu3ox.com/ Thought you might like this in your web dev arsenal. For PC and Mac. Cool looking 3D cube like transitions.

Uh, and before everyone starts flaming me for spamming, it's free, and I don't benefit by you clicking the link above.
Let's not get all hurt.

AIGA
formerly the American Institute of Graphic Arts
now known as the Professional Association for Design
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIGA

Some useful professional resources many of which can also be applied to web design. I have chosen just one article out of the many available on the site.
http://www.aiga.org/content.cfm/typography-and-the-aging-eye

AIGA, the professional association for design, is the oldest and largest membership association for professionals engaged in the discipline, practice and culture of designing. AIGA was founded in 1914 and now represents more than 21,000 designers through national activities and local programs developed by 59 chapters and more than 200 student groups.

AIGA supports the interests of professionals, educators and students who are engaged in the process of designing. The association is committed to stimulating thinking about design, demonstrating the value of design and enabling success for designers throughout the arc of their careers.

Web pages that suck

Here is a site which will give you a whole lot of ideas on what to avoid in your web sites. They offer a couple of useful checklists to help you assess your site, plus a lot of examples of the worst the net can offer.
