Jumping on the bandwagon. I just got VSD and have put up my first web site. It's really just a quick personal site right now while I get my feet wet. I'm still not sure what all I can do, but I did manage to embed some swf files. That was a chore! All in all I seem to like VSD and will probably stick with it for my main web design program. I really do like the CC programs for ease of use. Even though it took most of the day to get this site up. It can only get better from here, right?

I haven't been at this long, but your sites look great to me. The e-web site has a typo on the home page, but other than that, I like the style and the graphics look sharp. Good job on both those sites and good luck in the future.

Been two years away from the forum but, as we say, never too late than never.
I hope you're all doing good with your web page designs.

I was off the forum but kept busy refreshing my site. Since 2008, I brought new features and this fourth year is not different. The 2011 Edition presents as a new feature, a guitar classroom. If you happen to visit my site, and I hope you do, the main page presents my enterprise's profile and also, a button link to my favourite creation, QM Country. It is dedicated to country music lovers. Under the tag «Guitar Shop», you'll find links to various features, including the classroom. It is very modest and presents only 7 or 8 songs but, you'll also find a link to a suggestion box I encourage you to use.

This site was created using numerous softwares and the ones from CoffeeCup we're concerned about are: Visual Site Designer, Web Video Player, Web Jukebox, Photo Gallery and Image Mapper

It's brilliant as before, Qubik. One thing though which doesn't quite fit in is the spittin' shiny new Post box. Haven't you got an old style one?

People know at sight what these post boxes are for. Walls, buildings, narrow streets are all looking old in the historic part of my city and they are of course but, post boxes are shiny and bright.

This is my most advanced website project ever: http://www.harryniehof.com . He is a musician. Yes, this site was there before, but the site got a major update: making it accessible from every device possible (be it an Iphone, an Ipad, a Tablet, a PC, A Mac, an Android device, a Windows phone 7 device, Palm (or HP) WebOS, Nokia Symbian, whatever, at whatever screen resolutions.

The 'main' website is a Visual Site Designer website, a Dutch language website, so I hope you can navigate your way around. When you surf to this site, it detects what browser you have on what OS (at least I hope so :-)). Depending on this information it either loads the 'normal' site (the main site) or a site made for all kinds of handhelds except apple products, i.e http://harryniehof.com/mobile , or a site made for apple devices only, i.e. http://harryniehof.com/apple

The sub-sites (/mobile and /apple) are made with the Coffeecup HTML editor, and are made with a so called liquid or fluid design, which means the design adapts to whatever screen resolution. The main site has a fixed resolution (900 x 1100 pixels), but when you load the sub-sites intentionally and then you make the width of the browser smaller, you can see what I mean about what is a floating or liquid design. The design adapts automatically to the given width.

I had to do the sub-sites with the HTML Editor, cause VSD can't do liquid designs. It was a nice lesson, I didn't know CSS before, now i do a bit...

I had to do 2 sub-sites, one for Apple devices, and one for all other devices, because Apple refuses to use Flash. And the music on the main site is Flash music. I had to use Flash on the main site because Firefox can't do MP3, which is ridiculous (!), and Apple refuses to do Flash (ridiculous too), so I had to do the music with MP4 files (loads Quicktime) especially for Apple devices.

Maybe you wonder why I didn't do only two designs, one 'general' liquid design and one for Apple devices only. I started using VSD, as this software gives me far more (easy) graphic possibilities. And then I wanted to do a liquid design for ALL devices.

Something I learned: older Android devices (2.1 and earlier) don't do Flash either. So if you can't listen to the music while having an Android device, you'll have to upgrade to Android 2.2. Symbian devices (Nokia) have no problem. I don't know about all other smartphones, tablets, whatever might be out there. Please let me know if it works for you. Load the main site, please, www.harryniehof.com and tell me if it loads the liquid design automatically for your Smartphone/Iphone/Ipad/Tablet. Thank you!

After 13 years on the Internet, I updated my hobby (non-commercial) "Antique & 19th Century Cameras" website using VSD 7.0: www.antiquewoodcameras.com

Nice software and pretty intuitive. I purposely kept the theme very basic to emphasize content. The overall site design is 'flat and wide' to reduce mouse clicks and so forth.. What's really nice about VSD is being able to add horizontal and vertical guides for super-precise placement of text and images.

Only a couple minor nits: My site is 140 pages and VSD could do a better job listing them without tedious scrolling. And as mentioned in another CC forum, it would be nice to arrange the pages in a tree to keep everything organized. Another other issue is the usual problem with how Firefox renders fonts - but VSD doesn't have much control ver this. A couple friends commented about text misalignment in FF; but this was easily resolved by instructing them to go into 'vew' and 'reset' or choose 'text only' and then 'zoom out.' Otherwise, the site appears perfectly in my Palm Pre WebOS browser.

I like the simplicity of the design. The Show Schedule and For Sale pages have overlapping text and looks a mess, though, in IE9 (yes, I took the plunge and like it).

The only functions that I use non CC software for now is for embedding videos, because CC Web Player don't let you specify pixel dimensions (at least didn't used to, I need to check on this...). I also don't use CC's contact form software.
