I used site designer, forms builder and slideshow to build a website for my husband's plumbing company. My biggest problem right now is SEO. I've spend considerable time trying to correct SEO issues but don't think I'm making too much progress. While I have some familiarity with html, I'm not an experienced web developer by any means.

Nice site Conrad, although I didn't look through it with a fine tooth comb or anything, I do like the design it works well.
I did find an issue with your top margin on the Services page that it's showing the page address at the top and pushing the page down. You apparently added a code bit to that page according to the source code and it puts this at the top above the site page area:
Page: http://www.onestopplumbers.com/Services.html
The rest of the pages don't have that issue, just the Services page. Other than that it looks really nice. I would suggest you add a menu at the footer area to make it conform to basic website design for those that might have issues with your menu itself. Doing great, keep up the good work

Thanks for the help Jo Ann..the services page is now corrected. It was my attempt at adding an h1 tag. My Go Daddy SEO software said I have major heading issues because I'm not using the h1 tags. Guess I still need to figure this one out. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know. Take care.
No problem Conrad,
To use the H1 tag just include them within the body section of your site so they show up in the body area. They also need to be real headings not hidden so the search engines won't get upset thinking you're trying to pull one over on them and get something past them that isn't relevant. The H tags are basically heading tags for titles of paragraphs, pages, etc that show up on your page in different sizes. The larger the number such as H6 the smaller the text is for that line. Hope that helps

Here's a link to our website - made with Coffee Cup VSD and a few add-on's like the form builder and such. The template was also from Coffee Cup. It's been fun.

Hiya Kathleen,
Nice job on the site. The only thing I would suggest is to make your home page fit more smoothly into the width like you did on the other pages. It's a bit choppy in that it's not all the same width with some items going outside the width of the header and footer. Well done though

Hi,
An update of my portfolio website: www.johnvanhulst.com
Why do I post an update? Because I'd like you to show a slideshow made with Javascript only, and not Flash. Probably you all know that the Ipad is a gigantic success, but what you may not know is that Apple refuses to support Flash on the Ipad (and other devices). So if you make something with Flash (a photo slideshow, a video presentation, a music player, any multimedia presentation, a drop-down menu, whatever), a major part of your audience can't watch it, including maybe your whole website! Javascript (i.e. the JQuery and Mootools libraries and connected tools) can replace Flash tricks very well, and all modern devices and all modern browsers (including Safari) support Javascript .... So I'm going to replace Flash with Javascript as much as possible in future projects (and alter older ones).
On the left side of the screen you see a blinking cursor. Click on the link next to it.
Have fun, John

Yes John Javascript can certainly do some great things. I personally think it always has and with Apple not fancying Flash it will become even more popular. Not sure about the slideshow though it makes me feel dizzy.

You have to love JQuery and all the free scripts on the net that use it to do really cool things.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
