Thanks Melanie and Eric. I will check out the validation. Eric, I did use the header editing tool in VSD, I just wanted to try putting the code in a different part of the header to see if that would change anything. VSD doesn't give you the option of where things goes in the header, it just puts it at the end. (That has been my experience anyway)

Hey guys,

Here is my new site made completely with VSD. I am looking for some feedback both positive and negative and some things you think should be changed to make it better. Any input will be appreciated.

….I think I might have posted my request for feedback in the wrong place … apologies to anyone seeing this twice …

Site: http://www.haleycurlsforhope.org

My site is rather large and gets consistent traffic with spikes on news and around our events. For the most part, I absolutely love Coffeecup Software (I have to say Visual Site Designer rocks!) but a few things bother me.

I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time trying to make S-Drive work as a news feed for my site. I ended up using an iframe for the S-Drive window and disabling all links in the Bogart Theme. While this gives me something that works, I am pretty sure there is a better program or option for integrating a news feed into my site that keeps users on my site and offers them the ability to subscribe without being invited via email.

I’ve used Coffee Cup Photo Gallery for several slide shows on my site. There is a small slide show on my home page and other slide shows via my news/events page. I know I can edit the code to add options for the end user to click on a photo and see a full size photo or link to another page; But I am pretty sure there is another program or option out there that integrates this function into the slide show creation software.

I use Coffee Cup Web Form Builder for all of my forms. The lack of a non-flash version of forms is a big issue.

I have purchased CoffeeCup Flash Menu Builder, but ended up creating my own menus because of the limitations.

I currently have my eStore on another platform. I’m considering buying the Coffeecup ecommerce software but have not completely convinced myself it is necessary.

I would very much welcome discussion, comments, suggestions, opinions, etc. on my site.

Hi Michael.
Nice site. My comments –

On all pages – consider using a different or larger font for the company name so that it stands out.

On the other pages - The empty space between the end of content on a page and the footer bar is distracting. Consider shortening the individual pages.

While the art on some pages is interesting, it really does not relate to the Sport Directions so consider changing or deleting.
Here are some examples: On the Newsletter page, the largest image on the page is the read more/knowledge is power image. The most important thing on the page is the newsletters. They should be the largest and most prominent. On the Services page the image depicting a digital world is very nice, but again I don’t see where it relates to the site.

Again, your site looks really nice but these things stood out to me on my review.

I designed a site that is all about the Chevrolet Corvette history, plus Corvette Concept car, Corvette's in racing and restoration of older Corvette's.

Site looks good. I like the heading text on all the pages but the home page. The background behind the text on the home page needs something to soften it a bit to make it easier to read. Lots of great info.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thanks, I never noticed that, because I was more interested in the background image of the line of Corvette's. I changed the the font color to red, and it helps a little, but it may still need some more work. As I always say, web pages are always evolving and improving.
Thanks for the feedback.

The red is better. My eyes still want to go a little wonky. Maybe an opaque background just behind the text would work.:)
